What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max contests are my preferred format. Despite them being the chalky team to target on this slate, I am high on Buffalo. They have the rest advantage and are simply too cheap in this matchup. In larger-field contests, don’t forget to take shots on some of the cheaper skaters who are on the 2nd power-play unit, such as Josh Doan and Bowen Byram.
Joda: Single-entry is my preferred format tonight. Buffalo is getting healthy and has a favorable situational spot against Calgary and backup journeyman Devin Cooley. There are some cheap PP1 values on the Sabres, like Jack Quinn, Isak Rosen, and Noah Ostlund. While the Sabres have disappointed in spots like these before, there are just 4 games on this slate, so I would look to over-stack them. Anaheim is the other team I like, as Boston takes far too many penalties for their own good, and I think Anaheim will be a bit overlooked with all of the attention on Buffalo.
