NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, January 19
Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
TastefulTides: Bo Horvat – I think any kind of stack that isn’t New Jersey or Florida is going to be under-owned. The Islanders are in a fantastic spot against Chicago, who are playing their second game in two nights. Chicago got completely dominated by Buffalo last night, and I expect a similar outcome this evening. I expect Dobson and Nelson to be heavier owned than Horvat, so I think he makes for a great pivot away from those two, or you could play them together as a power-play stack.
boggslite: Sam Reinhart – Even on a small 4-game slate, I have no interest in messing around with underdogs, as they are all in terrible spots. I think that Florida’s second line will carry most of the ownership, which could make Reinhart go relatively overlooked. He leads Florida with 16 power-play goals and faces a struggling Wild team that owns the worst PK% and will be playing on the tail end of back-to-back games.
