Slate Overview
Happy Saturday Grinders! We have an 11-game slate to break down. Chicago and Florida are the only teams playing their second game in two nights, so there really doesn’t seem to be much of any fatigue concerns. The big injury of note on the slate is Kirill Kaprizov, who will be out 3-4 weeks. Pierre-Luc Dubois also appears to be out. Kevin Fiala got banged up in his last game, so I would recommend monitoring his status throughout the day. As always, make sure to head over to NHL Discord channel for the most up to date news and notes regarding all things NHL DFS.
Before I start breaking down individual plays and stacks, I want to zoom out and look at this slate from a broader perspective. This slate is packed with amazing plays. Whether it be at the high end, mid-range, or value, there are great plays at every price range. I expect ownership to possibly get a little high on our usual suspects like Auston Matthews and Connor McDavid. That being said, I don’t think ownership will become much of a factor today. If you want to play a skater or stack, don’t let ownership sway your decision like you might on other slates. I think the most important thing about building GPP lineups today is to make more of an emphasis on building for a ceiling. Scores today should be really high, and you will need a really big score to compete in the top 1% of tournaments.
