Noto's NFL DFS Core Plays: Week 8
Week 7 Recap
It’s never fun writing this recap after a bad week, but let’s get on with it. The three core plays all underwhelmed — the Rams leaned heavily on the passing game instead of Darrell Henderson, Davante Adams caught an early touchdown but failed to crack 100 yards, and Dallas Goedert wasn’t able to find the endzone or have a big game in terms of catches and receiving yards. When the core plays don’t pan out, I am not going to have a solid week of DFS. I try to be as transparent as possible with my content and unless something wonky happens right before lock, I am going to use the players that I recommend.
I am hoping to make a run in the NFL OG Contest on FanDuel. If you have yet to play in it, you still have time to catch everyone on the season-long leaderboard. Only the top 10 scores will count toward the $10,000 in added prizes. By my math, there are 11 weeks remaining. If you have been playing in it, make sure to reserve your spot each week. Even if you aren’t interested in the season-long prizes, this is a weekly $7 single-entry GPP with almost exclusively RotoGrinders members and personalities. BRING IT ON!
Week 8 Breakdown
We get the treat of football on Halloween this year, which should be tremendous. I’m hoping to get all of my fatherly Halloween duties done on Saturday so that I can spend all of Sunday on my couch watching football. I’m really liking this week’s slate, as there are plenty of options at every position. Some project better than others, but there aren’t any truly obvious plays on the board. If you have conviction on a player that is going to be low owned, this feels like the week to take a stand. Even in cash games, there are different routes you can take with your roster construction. Let’s hope Sunday provides more treat than trick.
