Week 12
I hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving. It’s one of my favorite holidays, but it certainly takes a lot out of you. Between travel, family activities, and stuffing my face with all types of food the last two days, I feel like I could sleep for a week. But alas, we have another slate to break down. A few of you have reached out over the last couple of weeks and have shared some big scores, so congratulations are certainly in order. Let’s keep it rolling into the main slate for Week 12.
Quarterback
Tier 1 (Expert Plays)
- Lamar Jackson: $8,000 DraftKings / $8,200 FanDuel
- Geno Smith: $6,000 DraftKings / $7,600 FanDuel
With all of the value at running back this week, we have a lot of choices when it comes to roster construction. Most projection models have Patrick Mahomes ahead of Lamar Jackson, but I worry about the competitiveness of that game. Jackson hasn’t flashed a high ceiling since Week 3, but I see more positives than negatives. For starters, he has averaged 10 carries and over 50 rushing yards in his last four games. The rushing floor is still there, he just hasn’t been scoring touchdowns on the ground. Mark Andrews is back from injury, which certainly helps this passing attack on the whole. And perhaps most notably is a matchup against the Jaguars, who are 31st in pass defense DVOA.
