Primetime Parlay: Patriots vs. Cardinals Same Game Parlay Picks

Raiders vs Rams Same Game Parlay

ScoresAndOdds’ ParlayIQ tool uses thousands of simulations of RotoGrinders’ statistical projections to help bettors gain on edge when building same-game parlays. We will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props, and betting odds across sports betting sites to find the best price for our same-game parlay ticket. For this article, we build a Monday Night Football same-game parlay for the Patriots vs Cardinals.

For the New England Patriots, every remaining football game is pivotal to their postseason hopes. Sitting just behind the Jets on the bubble of the playoffs, the Patriots need wins in bunches to secure a wild card spot. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, the Cardinals would need a miracle to playoff viable — again underachieving despite this year being plagued by injuries. For us, that means a same-game parlay ticket for Monday Night Football is in order with the help of SAO’s ParlayIQ tool.

Same Game Parlay for Patriots vs. Cardinals

At the time of this writing, New England is a 2.5-point road favorite against the Cardinals this evening on FanDuel Sportsbook. The implied game total is 43.5 with a -108 price on the over.

Per SAO, 93% of money has been wager on the under throughout the week while only 53% of tickets followed the same path. Since the under has not moved much, one would presume that the sharper money thinks this game is going to be limited in points. As for the point spread, about 53% of tickets and money have been laid on the Patriots. The books are happy.

As for injuries, the Patriots will be without Jakobi Meyers and Damien Harris is doubtful for the contest. As for the Cardinals, good luck with this ever-evolving injury report. The pertinent news to watch for this contest is the status of Byron Murphy who seems doubtful to go. Further, Rondale Moore is ruled out while Greg Dortsch remains questionable but participated fully in practice on Friday.

One team has expectations while the home team is talented enough to give the other fits. Given the way the Patriots play football, I expect a very, very forgettable Monday Night slog. We need a reason to watch this game. Let’s build a same-game parlay ticket.

Same Game Parlay Picks – Patriots & Cardinals Props

Rhamondre Stevenson Over 34.5 Receiving Yards

To absolutely no surprise, Rhamondre Stevenson is the apple of ParlayIQ’s eye this evening as the Patriots will likely give all of the usage to the young back. When Damien Harris has missed time, Stevenson is given opportunity after opportunity in the rushing and passing game.

Stevenson would be leading the league in running back receptions if it weren’t for Austin Ekeler and Christian McCaffrey this season. The New England quarterback room loves to get the ball to Stevenson with his big play ability and both designed plays and dump offs. The Arizona defense is bottom third in the league in receptions allowed to running backs.

Stevenson’s over was found in 63% of our simulations on ParlayIQ. This makes for a good opening leg.

James Conner Over 18.5 Receiving Yards

Projection systems like the Blitz and our DFS Stat Projections like James Conner to exceed this total and I agree. The New England pass defense is one of the best in the league. We should assume that Kyler Murray will need to dump the ball off.

Since returning from injury, Conner has a string of 3, 5, 3, and 5 targets. Assuming we get a similar share of work this evening and maybe with one or two extra, I think 18.5 receiving yards is well within Conner’s wheelhouse.

Conner’s over for this receiving prop is very well liked by ParlayIQ, hitting in over 80% of simulations that include our other legs.

Kyler Murray Over 238.5 Passing Yards

So, this is where I am a little worried about our projections and ParlayIQ. Sometimes, Kyler Murray looks lost to me. That said, late in close games, Murray has a penchant for compiling late numbers.

When we think of Murray, we think of his legs. However, ParlayIQ has this over hit over 50% of the time given the other legs we already selected. Murray is projected for more than 240 yards on RotoGrinders and north of 280 yards on the Blitz. Even if we meet in the middle, we are very live.

Conner’s and Murray’s props correlate for us and are the only props I really believe in on the Arizona side because of the New England defense. We will include this and head back to the New England side.

New England Over 22.5 Points

We close with our first team total in quite some time. The Cardinals give up the most points per game to opposing offenses. This one feels like a no-brainer.

Even though the Patriots will be content to run the football relentlessly — especially when ahead — the Cardinals’ defense is so hapless that I think the Patriots will find themselves crossing the goal line repeatedly, tonight. Mix in the chance for defensive or special teams scores and I feel like Parlay IQ’s simulated outcomes are right.

While I am very uneasy about going over in the game total, that lack of confidence rests with the Cardinals’ side. I am comfortable with New England getting to 24 points or more so we close our parlay out in this manner.
