2023 PGA Championship Forecast and Projections
We’re teeing off for the PGA Championship this week, with some great weather for the opening round, gusty winds in the 2nd round, and scattered showers by the third; we’re bound to see some weather impacts.

As usual in my Golf weather forecasts, we’re focusing more on wind than rain. While rain can halt play if it’s heavy enough, it also helps to soften and slow the course, meaning it helps as much as it hurts. With wind there’s no helpful side, it’s all negative impact, and the impact can lead to dramatic differences in scoring. My goal is always to try and highlight the timeframe with the lightest winds, the time with the strongest winds, and to see if there’s a cumulative advantage for one wave over another. You can use then use this to your advantage making your picks on DFS sites and sportsbooks.

PGA Championship Weather Forecast
As I mentioned in the intro, when it comes to finding a usable and predictable edge for PGA, wind matters a lot more than rain. For this tournament, the wind is a non-issue Thursday, but gets more interesting on Friday. I think we get the best of both worlds (albeit by only a slight amount) by going with a Thursday AM / Friday PM build. Stay tuned to @KevinRothWx for the latest.
