We’ve made it to the final Friday night of the NBA season, and we’ve got a doozy of a slate on tap. All 30 teams are in action, so it’s going to be a truly wild ride. Several teams still have things to play for while quite a few others do not. Teams like the Celtics, Bulls, and Nets are likely to be sitting some regulars tonight, and they certainly won’t be alone.

That makes things a bit tricky on the fantasy pick’em front, but there’s still plenty of goodness to be found over at PrizePicks if you know where to look.

NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today

Michael Porter More/Less Than 16.5 Points + Assists

Identifying the teams that still have some incentive to play their regulars is the key to approaching this slate. The Nuggets are leading the West entering the season’s final 2 games, but they’re just a game ahead of both the Thunder and Timberwolves heading into Friday’s clash with the Spurs in San Antonio. As a result, we have the Nuggets’ regulars projected to play full minutes, even in a game with a spread of around 11 points.

The matchup is a great one, especially given the Spurs’ “injuries.” Victor Wembanyama is back in the lineup tonight, but all of Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell, Malaki Branham, Cedi Osman, and Jeremy Sochan are out. San Antonio wasn’t a good defensive team even with those guys healthy, and something tells me Wemby’s presence won’t be enough to transform an otherwise benchwarmer-heavy lineup into a stalwart defense against a full-strength version of the Nuggets.

Michael Porter is averaging nearly 17 points per game on the season, though he’s contributing just 1.5 assists. Passing isn’t really in MPJ’s dictionary, but he’s averaging nearly 18 points per game across his previous 3 meetings with San Antonio this season. He can get us there on points alone.

Keon Ellis More/Less Than 1.5 Blocks + Steals

Keon Ellis isn’t a household name, but the rookie has quickly played his way into a real role for the Kings. He’s also benefiting from injuries to Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk, of course. Ellis has been starting since they both went down, and he’s out there for his defense.

The minutes are still a bit volatile on a game-to-game basis, but he’s averaging nearly 25 minutes per game on the month. We’ve seen him play as many as 36 and as few as 17. The Kings’ loss to the Pelicans last night means they’ll be in the Play-In Tournament, but they still have an outside chance of moving up to the #7 seed, which would give them home-court advantage in the first 1-2 games.

This is a huge game, as the Suns team the Kings will face tonight is the one they’re trying to surpass in the standings. Ellis should be busy, as he’ll likely be tasked with defending both Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. We have Ellis projected for 28 minutes, and there’s certainly a chance he tops 30 here. The rookie is averaging exactly 2 combined blocks and steals per game this season in just under 17 minutes per game.

Pascal Siakam More Than 0.5 Made 3-Pointers

The Pacers are currently the 6th seed out East, but they’re not yet home free when it comes to avoiding the Play-In Tournament. They’re actually tied with 5th-place Orlando and just 2 games south of the Knicks for 3rd. Indy will have a lot on the line tonight when they head to Cleveland to face the Cavs.

Cleveland is a stout defensive team now that they’re back to full strength, but I think we can expect a playoff-like rotation from Rick Carlisle here. We have Pascal Siakam projected for 32 minutes in Indy’s crowded rotation, but there’s upside for a couple more if the game is competitive throughout.

Siakam isn’t a major threat from 3-point range, but he is averaging 2.5 attempts per game with the Pacers. His 37.5% conversion percentage is actually the highest of his career. This could be a sweat – Siakam didn’t attempt a single 3 in his last game – but our PrizePicks tool likes the Pacers’ All-Star forward to knock down at least one from beyond the long line tonight.
