NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today

CJ McCollum More/Less Than 26.5 Fantasy Points

The Pelicans don’t garner a lot of national attention, but they’ve quietly been among the most consistent teams in the Western Conference this season. New Orleans enters tonight’s clash against the Cavs ranked 5th in the conference, and they’re an impressive 7-3 over their last 10 games.

Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram have predictably been the forces driving the New Orleans offense, while CJ McCollum has been in the midst of a ragged run of form. CJ has topped 31 minutes just once in his last 7 games, though the Pels have been involved in a fair number of blowouts during that span. Jose Alvarado will occasionally eat into McCollum’s minutes upside off the bench.

The on-paper matchup against Cleveland isn’t a great one, but McCollum does still generate enough usage to offer scoring upside. He’s been in the midst of a bit of a shooting slump, but it won’t take a monumental effort for him to top 26.5 fantasy points in spite of the subpar spot.

DeMar DeRozan More/Less Than 37.5 Fantasy Points

The Bulls aren’t contending for much of anything these days, yet Billy Donovan is still running a fairly tight rotation. Chicago appears ticketed for another berth in the play-in, but they’ll likely be 1st-round fodder if they’re lucky enough to advance. DeMar DeRozan is still leading the league in minutes per game (37.7), while Coby White is also inside the top 10.

Tonight, the Bulls will square off in Indiana against a potentially fatigued Pacers team that went down to OKC and toppled the Thunder last night. Chicago is still a 4-point underdog in this one, but the tight 4-point spread indicates it should stay competitive. It’s a big pace-up spot for the slow-paced Bulls, so DeRozan should be awfully busy in his standard 38-minute role here.

DeRozan is only shooting about 34% from the field across his first 2 matchups against Indiana on the season, but he’s due for some regression there, given his still-impressive overall efficiency (47% FGs).

Luka Doncic More/Less Than 62.5 Fantasy Points

This Luka Doncic character is pretty good at the basketball, eh? This season, he’s averaging 34.6 points, 9.9 assists, and 9.1 rebounds per game. He’s also shooting a career-best 38% from 3-point country on a career-best 10.4 attempts per game.

Luka’s string of 6 straight triple-doubles of at least 30 points came to an end in the last game despite some shameless stat-hunting in the 4th quarter of a blowout win over the Bulls. Tonight, Luka and the Mavs get a more favorable draw at home against a Warriors team whose dynastic days are firmly in the rearview mirror. Golden State is just 18th in D-rating this season, and they’re still running at the 8th-fastest pace in the league.

Doncic is likely due for a clunker (by his standards) at some point soon, but I don’t see much reason to think that’ll happen tonight.
