PrizePicks NBA Predictions Today
Draymond Green More/Less Than 28.5 Fantasy Points
The 2023-24 campaign has been a weird one for the Warriors, to say the least. Draymond Green has been in and out of the lineup all year, but he’s settled in lately as Steve Kerr’s first-choice starting center next to Jonathan Kuminga in a small-ball frontcourt. While his minutes have been a little inconsistent all year, Green is still productive (1.08 FP/minute) while he’s out there.
Tonight, the Warriors will head up to Brooklyn for a date with the Nets. Golden State is actually a slight 1.5-point underdog in this one, though the spread indicates we can certainly expect a close game. This is a slight pace-down spot for the Dubs, but this matchup between a pair of mediocre defenses features a solid 236.5 total.
If we get a full allotment of minutes for Green, he should breeze past 28.5 fantasy points. PrizePicks credits players with 3 points per block/steal, which is ideal for a player with Draymond’s defensive skills.
- PLAY: MORE Than 28.5 Fantasy Points
De’Aaron Fox More/Less Than 4.5 Assists
De’Aaron Fox is having another nice year for the Kings, but he’s not really a traditional point guard. While he has averaged north of 7 assists in 2 different seasons in his career, Fox’s playmaking duties have declined this season for Sacramento. He’s been utilized more heavily as a scorer, as evidenced by his career-best average of 27.5 points per game on the season.
Fox is still contributing 5.4 assists per game, which is tied with Malik Monk for the 2nd-highest mark on the roster. The primary playmaker here is Domantas Sabonis, who’s up to a career-high 8 helpers a night. Fox contributed just 4.5 assists per game in January, and he’s at 3.5 through the first 2 games of this month. The Kings also draw a difficult matchup tonight in Cleveland against a Cavs team ranked 2nd in defensive efficiency and 20th in pace.
Our tool thinks Fox is likely to fall below 4.5 assists in this one, and it’s easy to see why.
- PLAY: LESS Than 4.5 Assists
Stephen Curry More/Less Than 4.5 Made 3-Pointers
Why not run it back with another longtime Warrior? While Golden State’s dynastic days may be over, Stephen Curry is still at the peak of his powers. Steph is fresh off of a ridiculous 60-point outing in the team’s overtime loss in Atlanta over the weekend. Curry is still up to his usual tricks, averaging north of 28 points per game with 41% shooting from 3-point range on absolutely crazy volume. Steph is hoisting nearly 12 triples per game, which is the 2nd-highest mark of his illustrious career.
Expecting most players to bag at least 5 3-pointers in a single game is a tall order, but Curry certainly isn’t a typical shooter. The matchup against the Nets also happens to suit his game perfectly. Brooklyn’s opponents are connecting on 38.2% of their 3s so far this season, the 5th-worst mark in the NBA.
This may feel like a bit of a chase after Curry drilled a whopping 10 3-pointers on Saturday, but I don’t see much reason to believe the Nets are capable of shutting him down here.
