PrizePicks NBA Predictions Today
Daniel Gafford More/Less Than 18.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
One of the games tipping at 7 PM ET features a couple of teams headed in starkly different directions. The blazing-hot Cavs – winners of 14 of their last 15 games – will head to the capital for a date with a Wizards team with just 9 victories all season. As you may expect, we’ve got a fairly wide spread here, with Cleveland listed as an 11.5-point road favorite.
The Wiz won’t be at full strength for this one, either. Washington will be without Marvin Bagley, which means Daniel Gafford will have more on his plate. We have Gafford projected to log 28 minutes in this one, but there’s a path to 30+ here against a jumbo Cavs frontcourt featuring both Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley. Washington will need size in this matchup, and Gafford is the only real big left in the rotation.
Even against a stingy defensive frontcourt, Gafford should do enough to get past 18.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists. He’s averaging nearly 11 points and 8 rebounds per game in around 26 minutes a night, and he has a clear path to a little extra playing time in this one.

Victor Wembanyama More/Less Than 44.5 Fantasy Points
At this point, it would be a surprise if anybody but Victor Wembanyama won Rookie of the Year. Wemby’s individual prowess hasn’t translated into many wins for the Spurs this season, but he’s already an unquestioned superstar in the best league in the world. Through his first 44 outings against NBA competition, the 20-year-old is averaging 20.4 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and a league-best 3.1 blocks per game.
Tonight, Wemby and the Spurs will head to South Beach to take on the Heat. This is another tough on-paper matchup, though we’ve seen Wembanyama put up impressive numbers of late against other defensive-minded foes like the Cavs, Magic, T-Wolves, and Pelicans. He averaged a whopping 24 points per game in January, and it’s certainly reasonable to expect him to continue to improve moving forward.
Wemby’s posted usage rates of nearly 40% in recent games, so he’s gaining confidence on the offensive side of the floor. His minutes have also been on the rise, which is nice to see after he dealt with a nagging ankle injury for several weeks. All things considered, 44.5 fantasy points looks a little light for Wembanyama here.

Jimmy Butler More/Less Than 25.5 Points + Rebounds
While the matchup is difficult for the Spurs, the same can’t be said of the Heat. San Antonio has been a bottom-tier defense all year long, and the Heat’s 117.5 implied team total in this one is north of their season average.
Jimmy Butler has been fairly quiet for most of the season, but he’s assumed more offensive responsibility of late. Jimmy’s usage has hovered between 25% and 30% over the past week or so, and his scoring average has risen accordingly. Butler has also stepped up his production on the boards, as he’s averaging more than 7 rebounds per game over his last 6 outings.
Given the soft matchup against San Antonio’s sieve-like defense, Butler should get past 25.5 combined points and rebounds fairly easily tonight.
