Welcome to the RotoGrinders cup o’morning joe. Start your day off right here, as we sort through yesterday’s happenings and take a peek at the upcoming DFS day.

In Case You Missed It

FanDuel Scripting Update – As expected, FanDuel clarified their stance on automated entry via use of a script. Their policy will remain the same as it was. If you want permission to run a script on FanDuel, you must submit a support ticket and obtain their permission. More details on FanDuel’s stance are in this thread. During industry-shaping times like these perspective is always important. Dan Back recorded an industry podcast last night and he absolutely nailed it. Give the podcast a listen when you get a chance and feel free to provide feedback on Dan’s thoughts.

2015 DFS Players’ Conference – RotoGrinders is excited to partner with FanDuel and the Verano Group to host the first ever DFS Players Conference. The event will take place November 12-14 in New York City. This will be an excellent opportunity to network for anyone who is wishing to get into the industry or just wants to rub shoulders with others who are passionate about DFS. To sweeten the pot, FanDuel is running an attendee-only contest that will award a Playboy Championship seat to the winner. For more details, check out this forum thread and let Cam know if you have any questions.

DFS Bootcamp Satellite – Speaking of meeting others who are passionate about DFS, you can win a DFS Bootcamp trip tonight on DraftKings. Al_Smizzle and the guys at DFS Bootcamp have partnered with DraftKings to offer a DFS Bootcamp satellite tonight. Click on this link and join the satellite for $10. If you win, you will receive $1000 in travel money plus a $500 DFS Bootcamp ticket to the city of your choice. If you are interested in going to DFS Bootcamp, this is definitely the cheapest way to get there.

Big Winners – If you win the DFS Bootcamp trip, maybe you will learn how to take down a GPP. Plenty of Grinders made a few bucks last night, even though none celebrated like Kang. Afkshower took down the Monster, sethman22 has a great name and also tied for first in the Slam with atleast31, moose2898 won the Rally, bleedgreen92 won both the WFBC and Boston qualifier, jl2saint won the Squeeze, bcalicore won the Slugger, maxdalury won the Perfect Game, alohalanai808 won the Payoff Pitch, tom1213 won the Moonshot, bw5126 won the Gold Glove, and thebscott won the Hot Corner. For the rest of yesterday’s links including PGA contests and the early MLB GPPs check this forum thread.

On The Menu

MLB Action – Folks, tonight marks one of three opportunities to play MLB DFS before it takes a one-week hiatus. With 15 games on the schedule, literally every team is in action tonight. Notorious already has tonight’s First Look posted if you want a quick summary of the Vegas odds and key statistics to look at. DougThorburn also has the Daily Pitcher Breakdown available already, and later today you can expect even more MLB advice. Be sure to check back for the Grind Down, Six-Pack, and more Expert Picks.

MLB Content – With a plethora of useful advice, you might as well enter some of tonight’s massive GPPs. FanDuel is running a $150K Grand Slam, $300K Home Run, Bracket Qualifier, $75K Squeeze, and $100K Rally among other contests. Over on DraftKings you are running out of time to win PGA Millionaire Maker tickets, but they also have some nice GPPs too. They have a $500K Perfect Game, $40K Hot Corner, $115K Moonshot, $35K Gold Glove, $35K High Heat and also the rarely seen $33 FBWC qualifier. All of the smaller sites appear to have overlay brewing though I don’t have time to list the offerings at each one.

#NarrativeStreet – It’s been a good week so far on Narrative Street. Guys who were snubbed from the All-Star game have made opposing pitchers pay, The Shark destroyed the Blue Jays to celebrate Shark Week, and Jimmy Rollins exacted his revenge pound of flesh from the Dodgers. Even the BvP plays like Mark Teixeira worked out. That means we definitely need to keep riding the narratives tonight. Be on the lookout for #BobbleheadNight plays this weekend. Juan Lagares, Henderson Alvarez, Nelson Cruz and Juan Uribe all have bobblehead days/nights tomorrow. All of the All-Star snubs I’ve mentioned all week are still in play. Those include Dozier, A-Rod, Teixeira, Gardner, Bogaerts, and Tulowitzki just to name a few. Last but not least, we take a cursory glance at the numbers to select a BvP play of the day. The Daily Batter Hub says that Joe Mauer owns Justin Verlander, batting .369 with a .468 OBP in 65 at-bats. We also can’t ignore Alex Rodriguez, who is 11-for-27 with two dongs off Buchholz. On the opposite end of the spectrum, be careful with a Coors stack as Barnes, Arenado, and Blackmon have combined for just one hit in 16 at-bats against Shelby Miller. If you believe in BvP, you should avoid them like the plague.

UFC 189 – With MLB ending soon, it is time to adjust your lobby slider and see what other sports exist. DraftKings is running their largest ever MMA contest for UFC 189. For only $3 you can potentially win a top prize of $20,000. Give it a look and use bbbomb’s advice in the MMA Beat Down to win some cash.

Thanks for reading Grinders! I’m out of here for the weekend. Good luck in your contests tonight. I don’t have any motivational thoughts or advice, so I will just leave you with this GIF. See you on Monday!
