RotoGrinders DFS Rankings Update: New #1 Overall
Alex “awesemo” Baker’s reign atop the RotoGrinders Overall Rankings has ended, as David “moklovin” Mok has taken over the top spot.
Baker, a professional poker player from 2009-2015, became known as the No. 1-ranked DFS player late in 2017, jumping legends like SaahilSud (the DFSer formerly known as MaxDalury) and youdacao. Since then, Baker has dominated everything from NFL to Esports.
En route to his new No. 1 ranking, Mok first took over the top spots on RotoGrinders’ NFL, NBA, PGA, and NASCAR leaderboards. He’s also the No. 2 MMA player, and is currently the top-ranked DFSer of the month with just a few days left until the New Year.
Rounding out the Overall Rankings top five are youdacao, theWhistlesGoWoo, and ChipotleAddict.
In a 2017 interview with RotoGrinders, Baker said “The current trend seems to be that guys make it to the top and then fade off into the sunset. Right now I’m working my way up there, and I’m going to try to stay there as long as I can! It’s hard to imagine having an easy time getting into a different field with a background of poker and fantasy.”
However, unlike some before him, don’t expect Baker to ride off into the sunset any time soon.
Tournament Player of the Year Update
Speaking of the New Year, RotoGrinders will soon crown the 2021 Tournament Player of the Year. It won’t be awesemo or moklovin taking home the metaphorical hardware, but it will be a familiar name.
Tom Crowley, aka ChipotleAddict, once again sits atop RotoGrinders Tournament Player of the Year standings. If Crowley closes the deal, he will clinch the award for the fourth time in five years. Carrying more than a 5,000-point lead into the final week of the year, it certainly looks like that will be the case.
