Primetime Parlay: Steelers vs. Ravens Same Game Parlay Picks
ScoresAndOdds’ ParlayIQ tool simulates NFL contests thousands of times using RotoGrinders’ NFL Statistical Projections. Along with the simulations, we will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props, and betting odds across sports betting sites to find the best price for our same-game parlay ticket. For this article, we build a Sunday Night Football same-game parlay for the Steelers vs Ravens.
Sunday Night Football brings us another division rivalry with little to play for. The Baltimore Ravens have a playoff spot locked up and look to get healthy ahead of the tournament while the Steelers are playing out the string with a young quarterback. As ever, oddsmakers project a tight affair in the AFC North for Sunday night, not even handicapping a field goal difference between the two teams. For us, we might need to script a ticket that fits a low-scoring tight affair on FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s preview the game and look at some props.
Same Game Parlay for Steelers vs. Ravens
At the time of this writing, FanDuel pegs the Ravens as 2.5-point favorites at home against Pittsburgh. The implied game total is a minuscule 35.5 points. Per SAO, 72% of bets and 79% of betting handle rests on the Steelers’ side. An overwhelming majority of bets and money are on the under for this game.
As for injuries, the Ravens continue without Lamar Jackson as he gets healthy ahead of the playoff tournament. Lamar might be available for Week 18 to get in a few reps before the postseason. Calais Campbell is expected to play in Week 17 after being out since Week 15.
For the Steelers, Diontae Johnson was taken off of the injury report. All systems go for Pittsburgh. With a healthy defense, the Steelers rank in the top five in opponent yards per play over the last three weeks, allowing only 4.6 yards per offensive play. The Ravens’ offense has sputtered as of late only averaging 10.7 points per game over their last three contests.
This should be a slugfest. Let’s look at ParlayIQ and see what props seem to make the most sense for tonight.
Same Game Parlay Picks – Steelers & Ravens Props
Najee Harris Over 11.5 Receiving Yards
Najee Harris going over his receiving yards prop is found in 60% of our ParlayIQ simulations. Last week, against the Raiders, Harris saw 9 targets for an enormous game. While that was an outlier, Harris is going to receive a few targets in a tough game against Baltimore.
The Ravens have allowed 84 receptions to running backs for 650 yards on the season. A tough defense that is going to place plenty of pressure on Kenny Pickett is going to force quick passes to his check-down option.
I am content to start with this prop. More on Najee Harris is to come further along.
J.K. Dobbins Under 54.5 Rushing Yards
J.K. Dobbins is going to face a very tough front in a divisional game. I don’t expect much breathing room for the young back.
Further, the Ravens are feeding three mouths with the football as Gus Edwards is healthy and back in the fold. Tyler Huntley will also take some carries away from Dobbins. ParlayIQ likes the under on Dobbins and I agree. The Steelers’ defense as of late has proven to be very, very stout. Unless Dobbins breaks a long one, 55 yards is going to be no picnic.
Pittsburgh Moneyline
Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season in the NFL. Pittsburgh winning their last two games would secure 16 winning seasons in his illustrious career. The Steelers might not be alive for any postseason hopes, but they have plenty of reasons to play for their coach.
Aside from that narrative, the Steelers are playing far better. The defense is shutting down the opposition over the last few weeks and the Ravens cannot seem to score. With the Ravens playing for nearly nothing, I expect Pittsburgh to put up a spirited fight this evening.
The Steelers win one for the coach tonight.
Najee Harris Anytime Touchdown
Back to Najee Harris, let’s add a touchdown for the Pittsburgh back. With the Steelers winning in my projected game script, somebody has to score. Why not Harris who continues to be the bell cow in Pittsburgh?
Normally, I am not partial to touchdowns. That said, in such a sloppy, low-scoring affair, many of these player props are so low that one big play can end our under bets early. George Pickens, Pat Freiermuth, Diontae Johnson, and others all have very low prop numbers against a tough defense. That said, all of them can break through that ceiling with one big play.
I’d rather have a little fun and sweat a touchdown with better odds.
Good luck!
