Top Bargain Bin Plays for the DK Bank Shot

So with the Grind Down Article now being a daily feature, I won’t do the typical game by game breakdown that you are accustomed to with the other major daily fantasy events. Instead I’ll go through some top value plays on DK for this evening and feel free to offer up some of your own in the comments!

Bargain players must be $4,000 or under

TOP BARGAIN #10 – Jordan Crawford vs. CLE – $3500

Crawford at $4K is coming off back to back solid performances and now gets to face a Cavs defense that has given up big points to opposing guards all season. Keep in mind that Doc Rivers will also try to keep Pierce’s minutes down in the second half of a back-to-back and with Courtney Lee doubtful, Crawford should find around 30-35 minutes of PT.

TOP BARGAIN #9 – Taj Gibson vs. MIA – $3200

Obviously with a bunch of these picks the value will rely on injury updates but Noah seems like he might miss another game and Gibson at 3.2K against the Heat could be ranked a lot higher. Had he been playing a little better over his past 2 games I would consider putting him higher but still he is a definite double-double threat if he sees 30-35 minutes.

TOP BARGAIN #8 – Kenyon Martin vs. MEM – $4000

Kenyon had back to back 30+ FP efforts against Toronto last weekend before posting a softer 9 point, 5 rebound line against the Celts last night. The upside is clearly there though and as long as Tyson Chandler remains out, Martin will continue to see big minutes. Don’t jump off the bandwagon based on his game Tuesday either, both teams went with ultra small lineups and Kenyon will need to play much more against Zbo and company.

TOP BARGAIN #7 – John Salmons vs. GSW – $3200

If Tyreke Evans is unable to play on Wednesday night then both Marcus Thornton ($4.6K) and Salmons should see a boost. Salmons faces the 29th ranked defense against SFs and has played over 30 minutes in each of his past 7 games. I like his value regardless of Evans’ status, but that skyrockets if Tyreke is too sick to take the court on Wednesday.

TOP BARGAIN #6 – Wes Johnson vs. UTA – $4000

He just might be that guy that helps you win $50,000 tonight. He also might be that guy that causes you an incredible amount of frustration en route to a bottom 10% finish. But he has gone over 28 fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games and gets to face a Utah defense ranking 23rd against SFs over their past 10 games (with Hayward starting at the SF slot for the most part).

TOP BARGAIN #5 – Kyle O’Quinn vs. CHA – $3000

Had the salaries been released for this event a little later, O’Quinn might have been pushed up a few hundred dollars but instead he finds himself at the bottom of the barrel on the price scale and staring at a juicy matchup against Charlotte’s interior. If he can stay out of foul trouble and hit the 25-30 minute mark he might just be able to hit that golden 30 FP mark you need from a guy his price.

TOP BARGAIN #4 – Ed Davis vs. NYK – $3200

Davis and Arthur disappointed on Monday night but both should get another chance at big minutes with Marc Gasol out indefinitely. If Davis can get to 25-30 minutes, he’s a near lock to be one of the top value plays of the night. Especially against a Knicks defense that ranks 22nd against PFs since losing Tyson Chandler. He’s one of those guys with a low floor and a high ceiling…we call him a GPP guy.

TOP BARGAIN #3 – Brian Roberts vs. LAC – $3000

Another guy dependent on injury but if no Greivis again on Wednesday I love the value with Roberts. He hung nearly 50 FP up on Monday and the only reason he’s not in the top-2 for value is because he has a tough matchup against the Clippers. Regardless, if New Orleans remains thin in their backcourt then Roberts will see a ton of minutes and could easily outproduce his 3K price tag.

TOP BARGAIN #2 – Tyler Hansbrough vs. Houston – $3900

David West sounds unlikely to play on Wednesday night and that should mean more big minutes for Hansbrough who has been a beast in 3 of the 4 games that West has missed in the past week. His price is still low because, as I mentioned above, they released the salaries for this game last week. And he gets to face the 21st ranked defense against Power Forwards. Double-double city. Unfortunately, he’s also likely to be 40-50% owned.

TOP BARGAIN #1 – E’Twaun Moore vs. CHA – $3000

Many thought it would be Beno Udrih to fill the void left by Arron Afflalo but instead it was E’Twaun who stepped up with a whopping 42 fantasy points against Miami on Monday. The matchup is A LOT easier on Wednesday as he will face the 26th ranked defense against SG’s in Charlotte. 3’Twaun has great value on DK with their bonus for 3 pointers and slight bump for assists. I love E’Twaun tonight.

I’m sure I missed someone so definitely drop some comments if you feel strongly on anyone this evening.

GOOD LUCK TONIGHT GRINDERS!!!!!
