Primetime Parlay: Titans vs. Dolphins Same Game Parlay Picks
Monday Night Football brings two opportunities to build same-game parlays at FanDuel Sportsbook. The Packers travel to the Giants for a battle in New Jersey while the Titans head to South Beach for a tilt against the Miami Dolphins, both kicking off at 8:15 PM ET.
Tua, Tyreek, and the gang continue to tear it up on offense as Miami aims for the top seed in the AFC. The Titans are not mathematically eliminated from playoff contention but seem to be looking to the future with Will Levis starting down the stretch.
Let’s sift through injuries, betting odds, and the thousands of simulations of this game courtesy of ParlayIQ to build our own Dolphins-Titans parlay.
Titans vs. Dolphins Same Game Parlay Preview
Not shockingly, the Dolphins are drastic point-spread favorites against the Titans in Miami on Monday night. The Dolphins’ offense operates akin to a brand-new Tesla. If the Dolphins are a Tesla, what does that make the Titans? A Studebaker?
The Titans’ old-fashioned emphasis on running the football has led them to this point tonight — a 13.5-point underdog to one of the favorites to win the top seed in the AFC. ScoresAndOdds shows that more than 70% of spread betting tickets and dollars rest on the Miami side. Taking the points tends to get plenty of steam concerning the betting handle. Not tonight.
The implied game total is significant given the spread. FanDuel Sportsbook has a 46.5-point total as of this writing — meaning sports betting sites are anticipating a barrage of points from the Dolphins. While 67% of tickets found the over in this game, 84% of money bet on the total found the under. The larger bettors don’t think we will see a shootout on Monday night.
Here are relevant offensive statistics for the Dolphins and Titans ahead of tonight’s game:
Dolphins Offense
- 2nd — 32.0 PPG
- 1st — 6.9 YPP
- 2nd — 8.7 Passing YPA
- 1st — 5.4 Rushing YPA
Titans Offense
- 25th — 17.8 PPG
- 22nd — 5.0 YPP
- 13th — 7.1 Passing YPA
- 12th — 4.3 Rushing YPA
The Titans are typically stout against opposing backfields and funnel offense through the air. Unfortunately, Kristian Fulton and Jeffrey Simmons will miss tonight’s contest, calling into question what part of the Titans’ defense can hold it together. Derrick Henry was thought to be concussed in Week 13 but did not enter protocol and should play tonight. Punter Ryan Stonehouse will have surgery on his knee after the gruesome punt block against the Colts in Week 13.
The Dolphins are reasonably healthy coming into Monday night with tackle Terron Armstead and safety Jevon Holland the most notable questionable pieces. Jerome Baker was placed on injured reserve but the Titan offense is not as opposing as the nickname on the jersey. Instead, this game could be very uncompetitive and very quickly. Let’s see what ParlayIQ thinks about the AFC matchup.
Same Game Parlay Picks for Titans at Dolphins
- Mostert Over 45.5 Rushing Yards
- Achane Over 17.5 Receiving Yards
- Spears Over 14.5 Receiving Yards
Raheem Mostert Over 45.5 Rushing Yards
One would assume we attack this game with Tyreek Hill as the feature piece. Hill’s receiving prop is pretty lofty at 112.5 on most betting sites. Admittedly, I don’t know what to do with that number.
Instead, my gut tells me that the Dolphins are going to be the exception to prove the rule that the Titans’ rush defense is impregnable. The Titans have not seen the speed that Miami possesses on offense. Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achance are one missed tackle away from taking any rushing attempt to the house. Mostert is having a great year and I expect we will see him eclipse fifty yards as a big home favorite.
ParlayIQ found the over on Mostert’s rushing yards in 62% of simulations of this game.
De’Von Achane Over 17.5 Receiving Yards
Once we commit to Raheem Mostert rushing for 46 or more yards, ParlayIQ suggests we include his backfield mate on our ticket. De’Von Achane collecting 18 or more receiving yards made an appearance in 73% of simulations with Mostert already clicked.
When you watch Raheem Mostert with the football you can’t help asking if another running back looks that fast with a football. Then, Raheem Mostert checks out of the game and De’Von Achane gets a carry or catch. Then, you start cursing under your breath because your football team doesn’t possess that level of electricity on offense.
In any event, Achane seems to be the preferred pass-catcher in the Miami backfield. He should not much more than a few catches to exceed this total.
Tyjae Spears Over 14.5 Receiving Yards
Finally, we made our first two selections under the premise that Miami is going to lay the smackdown on the Titans on Monday night. If Miami runs up the score, Tennessee will throw the ball with Will Levis. Levis needs as many reps as possible as the Titans consider whether or not he is the answer at quarterback.
If this happens, Derrick Henry is likely on the sideline watching Tyjae Spears play the pass-catching role. Spears saw six targets last week and converted four for receptions totaling only 14 yards. For that reason, I might consider looking up Spears’ reception line on DraftKings Sportsbook. For this parlay, though, we will go over the receiving total.
Titans vs. Dolphins Parlay Odds
- Raheem Mostert Over 45.5 Rushing Yards
- De’Von Achane Over 17.5 Receiving Yards
- Tyjae Spears Over 14.5 Receiving Yards
