What kind of performances can we expect in the Super Bowl from Travis Kelce, Dallas Goedert, and Noah Gray? Follow along as our NFL betting expert, Nick Galaida, breaks down his three favorite tight end NFL prop bets for Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles

On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will conclude the NFL season when they meet in Super Bowl 57. Ahead of kickoff, the market has aggressively bet the total on the game to as high as over/under 51 points at some sportsbooks – a sign that offense could be on full display in this matchup. Below, we have three receiving props for tight ends worth considering in the big game!

Chiefs vs. Eagles – Super Bowl, Tight End Player Props

Travis Kelce o6.5 receptions (-175), DraftKings

Travis Kelce o7.5 receptions (+105), BetMGM

Since the beginning of 2020, Travis Kelce has recorded at least seven receptions in seven of his eight postseason contests, including six games with eight receptions or more. Per Warren Sharp, the Eagles were sixth in DVOA against tight ends during the regular season, but the majority of those matchups were against far less talented tight ends than Kelce. Considering the poor health of Kansas City’s wide receiver room entering this weekend, it is likely that Andy Reid and the rest of the coaching staff will find a way to create open space for their top target. Bettors should consider splitting their investment at two different sportsbooks in this spot, securing at least a partial cash if Kelce ends up landing with exactly seven catches against a formidable Philadelphia defense that has been tough on tight ends this season.

Noah Gray o10.5 receiving yards (-125), PointsBet

Per Warren Sharp, Patrick Mahomes targets wide receivers at a league-low rate, 44.2%, when facing quarters coverage this season. Conversely, he is targeting tight ends at a league-high rate of 38.5% in these situations. Noah Gray is unlikely to be heavily involved in the offense in the Super Bowl, but there is a good chance he secures at least one catch, if not two. According to props.cash, Gray has eclipsed this market number in 13 of 19 games played this season, including both games against the Broncos, both games against the Chargers, and his one game against the Bills – some of the tougher defenses that the Chiefs have played this year. It’s not always fun to bet on low market numbers, but it’s hard to pass up this spot, considering that Gray could cash the over in this spot on a single reception.

Dallas Goedert u4.5 receptions (+114), FanDuel

Entering play on Sunday, Dallas Goedert has three consecutive games with at least five receptions, making this a counterintuitive play. Yet, Goedert has a tough matchup in the Super Bowl against a Kansas City linebacker corps that is excellent in coverage. Per Pro Football Focus, Nick Bolton and Willie Gay Jr. both graded in the top-17 in coverage grade this season among 71 qualified linebackers. Prior to Goedert’s recent run of success to the over at this number, he had three consecutive games with only three receptions. Philadelphia has a lot of talented pass-catching options. It would not be surprising to see them look elsewhere more frequently against the Chiefs.
