Top Underdog Fantasy MLB Picks Today
Brayan Bello – Higher Than 2.5 Earned Runs
The Orioles are one of my favorite offenses on the slate this evening. Their implied run total is just shy of 5 runs against the Red Sox. Bello’s best ability is his ground ball skills, but the Orioles feature multiple bats with incredibly low ground ball rates. He’s projected for 2.72 earned runs in the RotoGrinders projections, and this pick has a 56.42% win rate in the MLB Fantasy Pick’em Tool for Underdog.
- MLB PICK: Higher Than 2.5 Earned Runs
Shohei Ohtani – Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases
This is almost going to be a copy and paste from yesterday, but if it’s available, I’m always taking Ohtani to have higher than 1.5 total bases. He projects for 2.5 total bases tonight in the RotoGrinders projections, and the Dodgers are one of my top stacks on the board against Andre Pallante. While Pallante has been great at getting ground balls to lefties this year, Ohtani has a 34.5% fly ball rate this season with a .384 ISO against right-handed pitching.
- MLB PICK: Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases
Manny Machado – Higher Than 0.5 RBI
While there aren’t a ton of bats with a lot of power in the Padres lineup, they feature plenty of contact. The power bat with the most pop is undoubtedly Manny Machado against lefties, and he should have many opportunities to knock in RBIs tonight in Coors Field. He projects for 0.74 RBI in the RotoGrinders projections, and the Padres have the highest implied team total of the day in Colorado.
- MLB PICK: Higher Than 0.5 RBI
