Vanek's Views: DraftKings NFL DFS Picks for Week 11

Seahawks WR Smith-Njigba

Using his experience as a former scout and staff member at Central Florida under Josh Heupel, Jordan Vanek takes an in-depth look at the upcoming NFL DFS main slate on DraftKings for Week 11. Formerly of The 33rd Team and 4for4 Fantasy Football, Jordan’s deep dive into the best stacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends is a must-read before you start building your lineups.

This week gives us the best WR slate we’ve had in a long time. Ja’Marr Chase, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Puka Nacua are all in strong spots at similar ownership, and with so many cheap RBs available, paying up for elite receivers becomes an easy—and popular—build. That’s why the $6,000–$7,000 WR range should go overlooked outside of Justin Jefferson, especially with all the J.J. McCarthy buzz. There are much smarter ways to play this slate.

We also have legitimate weather concerns, and that’s already baked into our NFL DFS projections. As we get closer to lock, it’s going to create some fun lineup paths and make the dome environment in CHI/MIN even more appealing.

NFL DFS DraftKings Picks: Top Stacks, RBs, WRs, & TEs for Week 11

Game Stacks

Jordan Love ($6,000, QB, Green Bay Packers)

Romeo Doubs ($5,000, WR, Green Bay Packers)

Christian Watson ($4,400, WR, Green Bay Packers)

Wan’Dale Robinson ($5,500, WR, New York Giants) or Darius Slayton ($4,800, WR, New York Giants)

Packers QB Love

There’s been way too much noise this week about Matt LaFleur being on the hot seat and Jordan Love being “terrible,” and this is exactly the type of game where the Packers can quiet all of that. LaFleur is 72–36–1 over the last 7 years — only the Chiefs and Bills have been better over that span — so the idea of him getting fired is absurd.

From a DFS perspective, this matchup is far more interesting than people realize. The Giants secondary is still extremely banged up, they play a ton of single-high coverages, and they can’t stop the run. That combination sets up perfectly for Green Bay’s deep play-action game and the downfield shots this offense has been missing.

The receivers most likely to capitalize are Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson. Watson, in particular, has looked great since returning from injury and has been the most efficient WR against single-high with Love at QB, averaging 2.63 yards per route run in a small sample. Doubs has been the steady leader all year and fits the deep-shot profile the matchup demands.

With Josh Jacobs projecting as one of the highest-owned RBs on the slate, a Love/Watson/Doubs stack becomes a fantastic way to get unique while still capturing a ceiling outcome in a vulnerable matchup.

I’m not really sure what this offense will look like with Jameis Winston under center and Brian Daboll no longer in the picture, but I do think one of these Giants receivers is going to pay off in a big way. My lean is Darius Slayton because he’s cheaper, and Winston isn’t afraid to give his receivers jump-ball chances down the field. That said, Wan’Dale Robinson has taken on a noticeably deeper role this season, and if that usage holds, he offers a really nice blend of a stable floor with a legitimate ceiling. Either one can work, but Slayton gives you the salary relief while still fitting Winston’s play style perfectly.
