Thank goodness we waited to back Minnesota to be the NFC #1 seed. Yikes.

Adding to the Buffalo division winner bet worked out, that number is back over -200.

Bet This in Week 12: Cleveland under 6.5 Wins (+110 on FanDuel)

Deshaun Watson isn’t saving this team. He hasn’t played in a regular season game in two years, he looked bad in the preseason and perhaps most importantly, the Browns are bad. They’ve beaten Carolina, Pittsburgh and a banged-up Bengals team. That’s it.

And it hasn’t been a quarterback issue. Jacoby Brissett has been … kinda decent? 6th in QBR, 10th in EPA, 18th in QB rating. Mixed bag and the 11:5 TD:INT ratio isn’t special but he hasn’t been the problem.

Then there’s the schedule. Cleveland is an underdog at home against a rested Tampa Bay team. Let’s assume a loss there. So 3-8 record with six games to play. They have to finish 4-2 to hit the over.

Watson returns in Week 13 against Houston, that’s probably a win. From there: at Cincinnati, vs. Baltimore, vs. New Orleans, at Washington, at Pittsburgh.

Even giving them the Houston win, not seeing three more Ws in that final stretch. Like getting this at plus money, won’t be there if they lose to Tampa Bay this week.

Don’t Bet This in Week 12: New York Jets to Make the Playoffs (+134 on FanDuel)

The Jets have been a sad franchise for awhile, but now it’s for a different reason. They’re actually good! Except for that pesky quarterback position.

This is about New York potentially moving on from Zach Wilson. Head coach Robert Saleh didn’t commit to Wilson starting in Week 12, opening the door for a Joe Flacco or Mitch White appearance.

The Jets are a legitimate threat in the AFC with even mediocre quarterback play. If they make the switch, their chances to make the playoffs get a huge boost.
