The Future is Now - Week 15 NFL Futures Betting and Strategy
Joe Burrow immediately losing two of his top three WRs on Sunday wasn’t the ideal start to his MVP run, but at least he finally got past the Browns. With Jalen Hurts recently moving ahead of Patrick Mahomes, still plenty of flexibility in the MVP market.
Garrett Wilson did end up passing Kenneth Walker for Rookie of the Year, and Chris Olave is all the way down to +420 on FanDuel. Got some decent value last week.
Bet This in Week 15: San Francisco 49ers to win the NFC/Super Bowl (+360/+900 on FanDuel)
We’re at the point of the season where we have some clarity on the playoff picture. And man, it sets up well for the 49ers.
Philadelphia, Dallas and San Francisco have separated themselves as the top contenders in the NFC. Obviously the Eagles and Cowboys are in the same division, so one of them is getting a Wild Card berth, likely Dallas as the 5th seed.
The Cowboys will get a gift in the first round, facing off against the NFC South division winner (more on that in a bit). Assuming they win and the rest of the first round goes chalk, we’re getting Dallas vs. Philly in the second round. San Francisco gets everyone’s least-favorite 10-win team, Minnesota.
Now that we know Brock Purdy is capable, this team should waltz to the NFC Championship. San Francisco and Dallas currently have similar odds to win the conference and the Super Bowl. Given the easier path for the 49ers, it’s a good time to hop on.
Don’t Bet This in Week 15: NFC South Division Winner
More of a PSA than a “wait to get a better line” situation. This has been the ugliest market all season and I’m officially throwing my hands up.
The Three Stooges and Shemp (the Saints, of course) have combined for a 20-32 record, and while one of these teams will “earn” a playoff berth, I can’t spend any more time trying to figure out which one it’ll be.
Better off saving the funds for the first round of the playoffs to hammer Dallas as 10-point favorites against whoever emerges from this division.
