Don’t be scared of the Bengals after their spooky Halloween performance. Cincinnati’s odds to make the playoffs are down to -120 on DraftKings, a nice discount from last week.

Huge shift in the NFC South as expected. Still some value there on whoever you like the best, but a much different landscape now.

Bet This in Week 9: Seattle to Make the Playoffs (+130 on DraftKings)

Let’s ignore the Geno Smith resurgence (7th in MVP odds). Let’s ignore the massive defensive turnaround (30.8 PPG allowed in weeks 1-5, 15 PPG allowed in week 6-8). Heck, let’s ignore the fact that Seattle is currently in 1st place in the NFC West.

This is about NFC math. Seven teams make the playoffs. Pencil in the Eagles, Vikings, 49ers and the NFC South winner. Cowboys are a lock (-2000 at most books). Giants not a lock, but close (-250 in multiple spots).

That leaves one Wild Card spot remaining. Here are your candidates:

Seahawks at plus-money can’t be ignored. After they beat the Cardinals again this week, the number will have a “-” in front of it.

Don’t Bet This in Week 9: Miami to Win the AFC (+1800 on BetMGM)

I get it. I’m excited too! The Dolphins look great and they arguably won the trade deadline by bringing in Bradley Chubb to fortify their defensive line.

The problem is everyone else is thinking the same thing. Would guess Miami moves past Cincinnati for the fourth-lowest AFC Champion odds soon.

The current number is certainly fine and no guarantee it gets worse, just might not be the right time to buy in with the all the hype on this team.
