Standout Arms

Chris Sale vs Braves: $60
We’ve got some good arms to target today, which is nice for a Sunday when we usually have slim pickings. There are weather concerns with this game, but if Roth gives us the go-ahead then Sale is the top option for me. He comes into today with a 2.58 SIERA, 34.5% K%, and a 15.8% SwStr%. He’s coming off a nine-strikeout game against the Rays and even though he’s labored in some of his starts, his velocity has been great and he’s a quick peek at his game log will show you that he’s rounding into form with solid performances in each of his last four games. This matchup is about as bad as it gets for him, with the Braves last in K% and first in wOBA and wRC+ against left-handed pitching, which should tell you how much I believe in Sale, as I would avoid this matchup with most other pitchers in the league.
