Saturday, November 4th
Tonight, we have a nice four game slate to choose from, let’s have a look at some of my favorite plays for the slate.
Point Guard
PG: Dennis Smith Jr., Dallas Mavs, $21
Dennis is a guy I think will go somewhat overlooked tonight and I think that would be a mistake. People love to avoid Mavs games, but it currently has the second highest total (213) on the slate. The Wolves rank 29th in defensive rating and 28th in DVP vs. the point guard position and have already given up big games to Darren Collison, Ricky Rubio, and Dejuante Murray to name a few. The Wolves are also playing at the 14th highest pace this season, a step up from last year, so per usual this is a pace-up spot for the Mavs. He has not shot the ball particularly well this season (43.2% effective field goal ), but he leads the Mavs with a 27.9 usage rate and put up at least 20 fantasy points in every game this season but one. I don’t mind the fact that this is a back-to-back for Dallas, as they may lean on the young guys like the Dennis a bit more in this one. I also really De’Aron Fox $20, as the Kings will be without George Hill tonight.
