What Is Stat Hero?

What is StatHero
About StatHero Fantasy Sports Platform

StatHero started with survivor-based DFS hybrid contests, allowing users to compete against StatHero’s team and no one else’s. We can talk more about that shortly, but now StatHero has expanded its game offerings, including a new pick’em parlay style that is unique compared to what you’ve seen at other fantasy sports sites.

Use the StatHero Promo Code on the 2024-2025 NFL Season

StatHero offered many pick ’em and head-to-head matchup games throughout the 2024-2025 NFL season. We expect even greater things from them next season. Be sure to check in with StatHero throughout the offseason for their NFL contests. Some DFS providers are already offering games for next season. We aren’t sure when StatHero will roll out its lineup of offerings, but we are confident that they will be worth signing up for once they are available.

StatHero Pick’em: Pick The Winning Teams

Predict the winning team and choose the stakes. Your team won? Get the cash! As simple as that.

In this Pick’em format, every day StatHero gives users a variety of lineups from the slate’s games to choose from. For example, here’s real life pick’em offering for MLB:

Juan Soto, Mike Trout, Paul Goldschmidt vs. Aaron Judge, Pete Alonso, Nolan Arenado

You simply pick the team you like to score the most fantasy points. StatHero isn’t lying when they say that their Pick’em mode is the fastest and most accessible fantasy game mode in the industry. It literally takes only three clicks, and there’s no time spent building a lineup.

StatHero has Pick’ems for NBA, PGA , MLB, NHL, NCAA Basketball, NFL player props, and College Football.

You can find StatHero fantasy scoring details for each sport in the platform’s rules.

Play StatHero Head To Head

The second game style recently added to the StatHero app is Head To Head.

Someone had to make a move, and we did. We’ve created the only sportsbook that favors the players. you vs. the House, the winner takes all. Think you’ve got what it takes? Prove it.

In Head To Head contests, you are playing one-on-one against the StatHero. When you go to the app, you can view StatHero’s lineups and choose which lineup, or “team”, to play against. After that, you build your own lineup of four players, with an allotted salary cap, to pit against StatHero’s

Again, there will be a variety of teams to choose to play against. But in this game mode, there are also varying payouts based on the caliber of team you choose to play against, and the salary cap allotted to you. In some cases, you can get payouts up to 4x your buy-in.

In addition, with Head To Head, StatHero launched the first ever PARLAYs for daily fantasy sports. That’s right, you can parlay multiple head-to-head lineups to multiply your payouts.

2-team parlays pay double your buy-in, and 3-team parlays pay 5x your entry! You can parlay lineups in all the sports win which Head To Head is available, i.e., NFL, NBA, MLB, PGA, NHL, NCAA Football, and College Basketball.

StatHero Survivor Pools

No need to spend hours on research to beat thousands of other lineups, including some of the best fantasy players in the world — at StatHero just pick a sport, make a lineup, and survive by beating StatHero head-to-head! Not only do you avoid the sharks that typically lurk in DFS lobbies and tournaments, but the multi-day survivor pool provides both instant gratification and an extended sweat. Here’s how the game works.

Survivor Pool on StatHero
StatHero Survivor Pool

Lineups at StatHero consist of only 4-5 players.

Simplifying the DFS lineup-building even more, you challenge StatHero by building your lineups from one team from a particular sport. There is an exception, however. In Round 1, lineups consist of 5 players, four from one team plus a bonus player from a different team. Once you advance to the second round, your lineups will consist of four players all from the same team.

This means you’ll want to choose teams from games with high point totals. Now let’s talk survivor pools, and more specifically, StatHero’s survivor pool structure(s).

What is a Survivor Pool?

You already know what DFS is, but you might not be familiar with survivor pools. Sometimes referred to as Knockout or Elimination pools, the concept is simple: the goal is to survive from one round to the next. To survive your team needs to score more points than the team posted by StatHero (the “House”).

Normally survivor pools last months and months, if not a full season. With StatHero, you can enter contests daily and on average a contest last 9 days or less.

StatHero contests begin with a certain amount of people, and those who fail to beat StatHero are eliminated; those who beat StatHero advance to the next round. It’s that simple. Beat StatHero, you pocket some cash, and you survive to play again.

As the survivor pool gets smaller each subsequent round, payouts get larger until only one person is left.

Does StatHero win money by beating me? Nope. The site only takes a one-time flat commission from each initial entry. No fees are added after the first round, so outside of the initial commission fee, all money goes to players.

When do I get paid out? One of the best parts about playing on StatHero is that you get at least part of your entry back as soon as you advance past the first round. So not only is there that instant gratification, but you also have something to look forward to the next day (and hopefully the next few days after that).

What if StatHero beats everyone? If StatHero takes out the entire pool in a given round, the pot will be split amongst those eliminated.

And if we tie? If a lineup ties with StatHero, then that lineup is eliminated. The good news is that StatHero will show you their team pick before you make yours.

Can you tell me more about payouts? StatHero splits the entry fees into two buckets. Half is designated as a final prize to the last remaining survivor. The other half is designated for round-by-round prize pools. So let’s say there’s a 200-player contest. If 50 of the 200 players are eliminated in Round 1, the 150 survivors split the round 1 prize pool. As the survivor pool gets smaller each round, payouts increase.

What if I want to split the pot? StatHero gives you that option, too. If you’re in the final 10% of survivors, the remaining players can vote to split the pot with a unanimous vote. If it’s not unanimous then the contest continues until one contest is left standing.
