What factors do your best PrizePicks picks today consider?

We combine a picks model, simulations, and current market data to help assess expected value of our top PrizePicks picks. The underlying model is unique to each sport, but the goal is the same: determine the most likely outcome (More or Less) to win and the expected win percentage

On a deeper level, we have a full team designated to determine our model inputs and monitor our projections, including relevant news such as weather and injuries. This is what makes our PrizePicks predictions unique compared to other products. Our picks aren’t simply the results of an unmonitored, automated system. We consider the full context of a player’s matchup — their opponents, weather, conditions, injuries, and other relevant news that may impact their usage and success in their upcoming games.

How much can I trust your PrizePicks picks cheat sheet?

You should take our recommended picks as the starting point of your own research. We can’t promise they will win — playing on PrizePicks should always, and only, be viewed as a form of entertainment — but you can make informed decisions by referencing our projections, knowing that they are the product of a finely-tuned model combined with analysis from our team of experts.

In combination with our cheat sheet on assists, rebounds, etc., you can also leverage PrizePicks promotions like Flex Fridays, Taco Tuesdays, and the app’s Reboot policy to create the best possible lineups.

How often are the PrizePicks picks updated?

This page of the best picks on PrizePicks for today is updated at least once every 10 minutes, as soon as sports ranging from the NBA to CBB are activated for the day on PrizePicks. This typically occurs no later than 10:00 AM ET, and updates continue until 11:00 PM ET.

PrizePicks Picks Tool Glossary & Terms

TYPE The statistic or category being offered by PrizePicks. These may be more traditional stats, like yards, touchdowns, and more. Or they could be more complex categories, like “1st round leaderboard position,” “runs allowed in first 5 innings,” and many others.

PROJ Short for projection. The projection is the number currently set on PrizePicks as the mark for “Less/More” (or Higher/Lower). This is the number players must cross (or fail to cross) for your pick to be graded as a win.

PICK This is the side of the projection we think is more likely to win, based on the calculations of our PrizePicks predictions model.

WINPCT This stands for win percentage. This is the expected rate that our PrizePicks picks model thinks the selected side (MORE or LESS) will win.

EDGE This is the conservative percentage above the “break-even” line we expect for this pick. Every pick has an implied break-even point based on the payouts from PrizePicks. These are shaded on a green-to-red scale (the greener a pick, the better). We estimate the break-even points and attempt to show you which selections are most likely to be profitable. Note: we use strict payout odds (e.g., 2-Pick). Oftentimes, the Fantasy Pick’em sites will imply a less strict break-even point when the overall win percentage of the lineup card is lower (e.g., 3-Pick, 5-Pick). Lastly, it is important to note that more picks could be profitable than the EDGE% implies based on the sites’ variable payout structures but the general ranking of which selections the tool thinks is best will typically remain the same.

GRADE A star rating system designed to compare today’s picks to the best quality of picks that could exist on any day, with 5 stars being best.
