Macro vs. Micro

What am I talking about with this idea of macro vs. micro anyway? In the business world, a macro level approach is one that focuses on big-picture initiatives, company goals and direction, etc. The micro level describes the day-to-day operations – dealing with individual problems, interactions between associates and customers, etc. A macro level initiative typically encompasses several micro level issues.

Why does this matter in DFS? An NBA team goes through changes and adaptations as the season progresses. In October, the Oklahoma City Thunder may be missing Serge Ibaka, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrook due to injury and currently be in the middle of an East Coast road trip. In March, OKC may be fully healthy and making a push towards the playoffs, treating every game as a must-win.
