Pitchers
- Home Mike Fiers has not looked very sharp to start the year and is already sporting an ERA of over 8. A matchup against the hot Giants offense isn’t likely to cure his woes.
- Away Ryan Vogelsong has been a bit uncharacteristic in his last two starts. He has given up 9 earned runs let 20 men on base in the two games. Hard to like him tonight in Milwaukee against Ryan Braun and company.
Batters
- Home Ryan Braun not only bombed last night, but he managed to strike out four times while his teammates all played well. Absolutely crushed most of my teams. However, the matchup is there tonight and this is baseball. You just have to move on and not have any bias towards players. I also think Rickie Weeks has a ton of value for his price.
- Away The Giants offense gets runs in bunches and it always seems to come from different guys. I think Buster Posey is a solid play and well as the leadoff man Angel Pagan.

Pitchers
- Home There aren’t many times you will see a line this low with that big of a favorite. That’s how dominant Clayton Kershaw is. Everything is lined up for him to have a monster game, but can you afford to take him and skimp out on your hitters?
- Away Tyson Ross is an average pitcher that will give up a few runs tonight. Don’t take the biggest underdog of the day.
Batters
- Home Hate to say it, but Matt Kemp is likely going to be on my roster again tonight. I just have to believe that he is going to break out of his slump and he is so cheap that even if he has an OK game he will cover his value. Throw Carl Crawford in the mix as well, a bit more pricey though.
- Away Stay away from all things Padres tonight.

Pitchers
- Home King Felix takes the mound tonight in what should be an epic pitcher’s duel. He is the slight favorite and I think he pitches great tonight. The problem is that it’s going to be hard for him to get run support. If you can only take one pitcher tonight, I wouldn’t take Felix, but if you play on a site with multiple pitchers, I think you can take him.
- Away Max Scherzer has the same problem as Felix. Great matchup and should pitch well, but who knows if he is going to get any run support. I trust Felix a bit more in this one than I do Scherzer.
Batters
- Stay away from the hitters in this one, it will be a pitcher’s duel.
