What Vegas Says

- Favored Team – CIN -170
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home I could talk about Homer Bailey ‘s terrific home ERA and K/9 or the fact that he is holding right-handed hitters to a .191 BAA but I would rather talk about what it must have been like for him as a child to grow up with the name Homer during the height of the Simpsons popularity. That must have been hell. Maybe that is why his four-seam fastball has so much velocitity to it. HA-HA! Your parents named you homer. MIL is batting .257 on the road, .255 versus right-handers, and .305 over the last 7 days. Target
- Away Yovani Gallardo pitched 8 IP with 0 ER and 4 Ks the last time he took the mound. That start was in MIA. He will have a hard time recreating that success here in CIN. Outside of a few bright spots, he has been horrible on the year. CIN is batting .261 at home, .254 versus right-handers, and .256 over the last 7 days. Cin ownes a .316 BAA versus Gallardo. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
- Home Jay Bruce is 13-31 with 2 HRs versus Gallardo. Joey Votto is 8-27 with 1 HR. Zack Cozart is 5-14 with 1 HR. Choo, Frazier, Hanigan, and Phillips have positive BvP as well. Bruce, Choo, Votto, Frazier and Phillips are all producing well over the last 7 days and all hit right-handers well. Shin-Soo Choo is batting .328 at home.
- Away Carlos Gomez is hot producing 33.75 fp over the last 7 days . Jean Segura has been producing also. He has 25.5 fp. Segura, Gomez, and Aramis Ramirez are all batting over .300 versus right-handers. Rickie Weeks is 11-24 with 2 HRs off of Bailey. Scooter Gennett is batting .300 versus right-handers if Weeks dies not start.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8
- Favored Team – TAM -175
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home I was high on Matt Moore yesterday versus KAN. He did not work out. I am high again on Alex Cobb for the same reasons. Like Moore, Cobb comes into this matchup after recently getting shelled but it was against a tough opponenent. For Moore, it was DET and BAL. For Cobb, it was BOS. I expect for things to turn around for him today at home against this weak KAN team. KAN is batting .265 on the road, .248 versus right-handers, and .267 over the last 7 days. Target
- Away Jeremy Guthrie 4.40 road ERA is a little misleading because he has played BAL, BOS, LAA, STL, and HOU away from home. Those teams rank 1st, 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 22nd in runs scored. TAM ranks 6th so he could be in for yet another long day. TAM is batting .271 at home, .245 versus right-handers, and .268 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
- Home Matt Joyce is 10-27 with 1 HR versus Guthrie. Evan Longoria is 11-35 with 1 HR vs him and is batting .311 at home. Ben Zobrist is 10-31 versus him as well. James Loney and Evan Longoria are both hitting almost .300 versus right-handers. Longoria, Joyce, Zobrist, Desmond Jennings have all been hot over the last 7 days.
- Away Eric Hosmer is 4-10 with 1 HR versus Cobb. Alex Gordon is 3-10 versus him also. Mike Moustakas is 3-10 with 1 HR. Hosmer and Salvador Perez have been hot over the last week producing over 20 fp each. Perez is batting .336 versus right-handed pitching.

What Vegas Says

Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Freddy Garcia has pitched bad against the bad teams of KAN,SDG,and HOU and good against the good teams of LAA and NYY. If you follow that logic then he should pitch another 6 IP 2 ER 4 K preformance today versus BOS. Good luck with that one. BOS is batting .257 on the road, .279 versus right-handers, and .254 over the last 7 days. Avoid
- Away John Lackey just got touched up for 4 ER in TAM. Things do not get any easier on the road for him today in BAL. His road ERA sits at 4.88 on the year. BAL is batting .282 at home, .279 versus right-handers, and .254 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
- Home Chris Davis is 8-17 with 1 HR versus Lackey. Nick Markakis is 15-42 vs him also. Adam Jones is hot producing 25.75 fp over the last week. Chris Davis, Manny Machado, and Adam Jones are all batting over .300 versus right-handers. Davis and Nick Markakis are batting over .300 at home.
- Away David Ortiz is 13-41 with 2 HRs versus Garcia. Jacoby Ellsbury is 5-15 with 1 HR. Dustin Pedroia is 5-16 vs him as well. Ellsbury has 9 steals in the last 7 days and has produced 34 fp. David Ortiz is batting .345 versus right-handed pitching. Mike Carp, Daniel Nava, Jarod Saltalamacchia and Dustin Pedroia are all batting over .300 versus right-handers as well.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – STL -200
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home If I have a problem recommending Jose Fernandez to you because he plays for the Marlins then how could I ever recommend to you Tom Koehler? Koehler has pitched well at home but by the next time we see him that number should be significantly different after this STL team gets done with him today. STL is batting 269 on the road, .288 versus right-handers, and .288 over the last 7 days. STL ranks 3rd in runs scored and has recorded the 8th fewest Ks. Avoid
- Away Lance Lynn is a better pitcher at home but with an 3-1 record an a 3.60 ERA. He is not all that bad on the road either and this MIA he is facing. Lynn’s only real bad start on the road came last time out in CIN. He completely shut down LAD in his last road start before that so feel safe using him today. MIA is batting .225 at home, .235 versus right-handers, .253 over the last 7 days. They rank 30th in runs scored, and have recorded the 4th fewest Ks. Target
Batter Grind Down
- Home Giancario Stanton has gone 6-16 with 1 HR since his return. Mia offense could be totally different with him in the LU increasing everyone’s value. I do not trust any of them today but keep that in mind.
- Away Matt Holliday, Allen Craig and Yadier Molina continue to be STL’s hot hands. Matt Carpenter, Yadier Molina, Matt Adams, Carlos Beltran, Allen Craig, and David Freese all have plus .300 batting averages versus right-handers. I like all of STL today.

WSN vs L | WSN BvP | CLE vs R | CLE BvP | ||||||
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8
- Favored Team – WAS -125
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home If you believe in splits then Scott Kazmir has been a 3.68 pitcher and a K per inning player at home. He has not looked good in his last 2 starts but something tells me he gets it done today against a por WAS team at home. WAS is batting .211 on the road, .209 versus left-handers, and .257 over the last 7 days. In Play
- Away Jordan Zimmermann has been fantastic on the year but this is a tall order today to go into CLE and face this very strong offensive team. Zimmermann is a 3.09 pitcher on the road and he is one of the best control pitchers in the game. With limikted K/9 upside, he is only a matchup play. He is the best matchup pitcher in daily fantasy but he is still just a matchup play. CLE is too scary for me. They are batting .255 at home, .251 versus right-handers, and .231 over the last 7 days. In Play
Batter Grind Down
- Home Zimmermann is tough so I do not expect a whole lot from this offense but they should score a few. Jason Kipnis has been hot producing 26.5 fp over the last 7 days. Michael Bourne is batting .310 at home and .297 versus right-handed pitching.
- Away Ian Desmond and Ryan Zimmerman have both been hot over the last 7 days. mIan Desmond is batting .327 versus left-handed pitching. Ryan Zimmerman is batting .275 vs lefties. If you expect another poor start consider everyone playable. Jason Werth is worth a look with the tradiotional splits in his favor. All puns intended.
