What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9.0
- Favored Team – COL -160
Pitcher Grind Down
COL – So much for that over/under of 11 in Coors last night. I was one of many people to get burned by that low scoring affair. Jhoulys Chacin gets the start tonight and he has really pitched well this season. He has allowed 1 run or less in 4 of his last 5 starts. He is certainly a tempting play against the Marlins, but I am sticking to my rule of not taking pitchers in Coors. In Play if you Dare
MIA – Jose Fernandez is going to be a good pitcher for a long long time, but I have a feeling that he is going to remember his first start in Coors, and not for good reasons. Fernandez hasn’t been the same pitcher on the road as he has at home, and I think the Rockies get a hold of him. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
COL – Carlos Gonzalez really burned me last night, but in daily fantasy sports you can’t hold grudges. I will be rostering him once again tonight. I also like Cuddyer’s and Tulo’s chances to go deep.
MIA – This game is in Coors, so the Marlins bats are obviously in play, but I don’t think I would trust anyone outside of Stanton or Morrison. Morrison had the day off yesterday and should be ready to go tonight.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.0
- Favored Team – ARI -175
Pitcher Grind Down
ARI – Patrick Corbin continues to be one of the most underrated, under appreciated pitchers in the game. He owns a 2.35 ERA and a WHIP of only 0.999. And half of his starts are in the hitter-friendly Chase Field. You have to love the matchup tonight against the Cubs who are only batting .235 against lefties this season. Target
CHC – We are more than halfway through the season and I still have a hard time trusting Travis Wood. Nothing against the guy, but every time he pitches, I always end up going with other options. I think his lack of run support is a big part of that. Too big of an underdog for me. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
ARI – Who crushes lefties? Paul Goldschmidt crushes lefties. Is it true? It is it is it isssssssss. Anyone remember Kenan & Kel? I also like Martin Prado, he is batting .303 with an OPS of .817 in July.
CHC – Corbin is a K machine and the Cubs aren’t very good against lefties.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – LAA -175
Pitcher Grind Down
LAA – Tommy Hanson returns from the DL to make the start tonight against the Twins. I think Hanson will pitch much better the rest of the season, but I tend to stay away from pitchers making their first start back from injury. They are typically a little rusty and on a pitch count. Avoid
MIN – Kyle Gibson has not looked great in his first 4 big league starts. 6.45 ERA and a 1.674 WHIP. Now he has to face the likes of Trout, Pujols, Trumbo, and Hamilton. No thanks. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
LAA – Angels are in a great spot tonight against Gibson. Gibson is giving up an OPS of .908 to lefties this season so if Josh Hamilton is in the lineup tonight, get him in yours. I think the right hand bats of Trout and Trumbo are also in play.
MIN – The Twins are a tough team to take hitters from because their production is hard to predict and it comes from all over their lineup. Joe Mauer is a safe play though, he crushes right hand pitching.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – SEA -110
Pitcher Grind Down
SEA – I am going to go out on a limb here and say that Erasmo Ramirez will be one of the top 5 scoring pitchers tonight. Ramirez was really making a name for himself last season and should be in line for a big second half of the season. Last year he was great at Safeco with a 2.79 ERA while striking out 8 batters per 9 innings. Tough matchup against Cleveland, but I think he will be up for the challenge. In Play
CLE – Zach McAllister is giving up a ton of hits on the road this season and he is catching this Mariners team at the wrong time. They have been one of the hottest offenses in baseball. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
SEA – I have a feeling this is going to be a low scoring game, but Brad Miller and Kyle Seager both have a good matchup tonight against McAllister. McAllister is letting left hand bats hit for an insane .380 average against him.
CLE – I’m telling you, Erasmo is going to come out dealing tonight.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – No Line Posted Yet
- Favored Team – No Line Posted Yet
Pitcher Grind Down
SF – Barry Zito should not be on your radar, especially against a Reds team that just crushed Lincecum last night. Avoid
CIN – Greg Reynolds is making his first start of the season, but he has an ERA over 7 in his career. This is a game to target bats, not pitchers.
Batter Grind Down
SF – In 2011 (which was the last time Reynolds made a start), he gave up an OPS over 1.000 to left hand bats. Cue the Panda! Pablo Sandoval, Brandon Belt, and Gregor Blanco all have great splits in their favor. Not a bad night to take Buster Posey either.
CIN – Reds aren’t great against lefties, but I don’t know if that applies against Zito. All Reds are in play.
