May 11th
Each segment, the Fantastic Four will include my top 4 pitchers for tournaments on FanDuel and DraftKings. At times, they’ll include plays who are picking up ownership if I feel like the rostership still doesn’t reflect their upside. Typically, if there is a cash game lock and someone who is pushing 50% rostered, these pitchers won’t get mentioned.
The Chosen One – Top Tournament Pitchers

Shohei Ohtani 8800 (DK)/10800 (FD) – I was trying to find a way to write up four different tournament pitchers today, but it just felt disingenuous. Shohei will be the chalk tonight, however I simply can’t get away from him, and prefer him to any other option tonight. Shohei Ohtani is the chosen one. He has the power to break the slate, whether on the side of good or evil is yet to be determined. In MME formats, I have interest in trying to get different with some cheaper options such as Urquidy, Singer and especiialy Zach Logue, however Ohtani’s 38% strikeout rate so far this season takes the cake for me.
StackGuardians of the Galaxy – Top MLB DFS Stacks

Why is today the introduction of the StackGuardians of the Galaxy you ask? Because prior to 2014, no one knew who the Guardians of the Galaxy were. The Avengers, the Justice League, the X-Men and Fantastic Four are household names, however if we’re playing the Chosen One at pitcher, we need some unknown heroes to round out our stacks. The Cardinals, Astros and Mets are without a doubt the top options of the slate, however we have some other high upside offenses picking up a fraction of the rostership.
Captain of the Ship

Boston Red Sox – Ian Anderson hasn’t looked like himself so far this season, and the Red Sox showed last night their ability to put up runs in a hurry. Anderson has always been able to strike out righties at a high clip, however he seems to have lost that touch so far this season, and is giving up a ton of power to the left side of the plate. Rafael Devers stands out as one of my favorite hitters on the entire slate, with JD Martinez and co alongside him making for a great stack.
High Risk/HighReward

Atlanta Braves & Los Angeles Angles – The only two other pitchers who will be significantly rostered tonight are Nathan Eovaldi and Shane McClanahan. While these are two top tier pitchers, they also face high powered offenses. Mike Trout has been scorching hot as of late, and Anthony Rendon bat seems to be waking up at the right time. Atlanta has potent options throughout the entire lineup, and these two teams are two of my favorite ways to get different than the field tonight.
