MLB Player Props Today

Jack Suwinski to hit a home run (+370), FanDuel

Earlier this season, we targeted Jack Suwinski on Dinger Tuesday and he delivered for us, so we are running things back again this evening. Suwinski leads the Pittsburgh Pirates with a 1.039 OPS against right-handed pitching so far in 2023. Connor Seabold, tonight’s opposing starter, owns a 7.07 FIP, 13.4% strikeout rate, .394 opponent batting average, and a 2.30 WHIP against left-handed batters for his career. He has allowed an astounding 55.7% fly ball rate to left-handed batters. Suwinski has a clear path to making contact in this spot, likely in the air. The wind is blowing out towards right field at PNC Park tonight as well. Trust Suwinski to deliver for us once again.

Dan Vogelbach to hit a home run (+440), FanDuel

In 16.0 innings of work to begin 2023, Luke Weaver has allowed five home runs – three of which have come against left-handed batters. Today, the wind is blowing out towards right field at Great American Ball Park, which is one of the most hitter-friendly venues in Major League Baseball. Dan Vogelbach has a team-best .893 OPS against right-handed pitching in 76 plate appearances this year. Weaver has struggled to keep the ball out of the air against left-handed hitters so far this season, with a 53.8% fly ball rate in these situations. At significant plus money, this is a worthwhile risk for bettors.

MLB DFS Pick’em

Mike Trout more than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs, PrizePicks

Mike Trout has a tough matchup tonight against Framber Valdez, but that should not dissuade bettors from taking a look at him in this spot. Trout owns a .306 batting average and an .803 OPS against left-handed pitching so far in 2023. He is also likely to get at least one at bat against the Houston Astros bullpen this evening, which could be enough to help him get one extra hit or other counting stat if he still has not delivered to that point in the game.
