After floundering on their home floor to begin this series, the market still has faith in the Celtics, pricing them as 3.5-point favorites on the spread. The total for tonight’s matchup is set at over/under 214 points.

NBA Player Props – Celtics vs. Heat, May 21, 2023

Malcolm Brogdon o14.5 points (+100), PointsBet

As long as Malcolm Brogdon continues to have an abundance of opportunities from the floor, we are going to continue attacking this play during the Eastern Conference Finals. In Game 1, Malcolm Brogdon scored 19 points and took 14 field goal attempts while playing 37 minutes. In Game 2, Brogdon had 13 points and nine shot attempts in 26 minutes of action. In his last 14 playoff games, Malcolm Brogdon has scored at least 14 points 10 times and has only one game with fewer than 12 points in that span. He continues to be a value spot at sportsbooks during these playoffs, which makes him an appealing option again on Sunday. Boston is going to need production from guys other than Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown if they are going to get back into this series – bet on Brogdon being a significant contributor this evening.

Jaylen Brown o5.5 rebounds (-140), DraftKings

It is fair to say that Jaylen Brown had one of the worst playoff performances in his career on Friday night, shooting 7-for-23 from the field, scoring only 16 points while collecting four rebounds. Implied in that statement is that Brown is capable of far more than what we saw two days ago in Game 2. In that contest, Brown snapped a string of four straight games in which he had at least six rebounds. Tonight, his team has their back against the wall in what is essentially an elimination game – expect his production to increase across the board relative to what we saw 48 hours ago. Take the over on his rebounds.

NBA DFS Pick’em

Jayson Tatum more than 30.5 points, PrizePicks

Jayson Tatum has been very productive to begin this series, scoring 30 points in Game 1 and 34 points in Game 2. Perhaps most important from a betting perspective has been Tatum’s aggressive approach on the offensive end of the floor – earning 23 free throw attempts through the first two contests in this series. After playing 41 minutes or more in both games to begin this matchup, Tatum is likely locked in for another heavy workload this evening with Boston’s season essentially on the line. Trust him to get the job done for bettors and for his team in this spot.
