Tonight, the Miami Heat will look to punch their ticket to the NBA Finals, where the Denver Nuggets are awaiting the Eastern Conference champions. Miami has dominated the first three games of this series, winning all three contests by at least six points.

Still, despite Miami’s success to begin the Eastern Conference Finals, the market is respecting the Boston Celtics enough to price Game 4 close to a pick’em at sportsbooks. The total for this evening’s affair is set at over/under 217 points.

We are 88-76-1 on player prop recommendations to begin these NBA Playoffs. For those who would prefer to attack the player prop market rather than a side or total, we have three leans below for tonight’s action!

NBA Player Props – Celtics vs. Heat, May 23, 2023

Kevin Love u11.5 points + rebounds + assists (-109), Caesars

After being pushed out of town by the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this season, it has been fun to follow the Kevin Love story all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals with the Miami Heat. Nevertheless, his role is quickly diminishing within this series, playing only five minutes in Game 3. In Game 2, Love played 15 minutes but did not make a field goal attempt and had only five rebounds and two assists. It is highly unlikely that we see Love come anywhere near 20 minutes of action tonight, making the under on this prop look very strong ahead of tip-off.

Al Horford o5.5 rebounds (-122), FanDuel

Similar to many of his Boston Celtics teammates, Al Horford played a series-low in minutes in a blowout loss in Game 3. Tonight, bettors should expect Horford to have a workload that much more closely resembles Game 1 and Game 2 when Horford played no fewer than 29 minutes. In the series opener, Horford had six rebounds on 10 rebound chances. Two nights later, he had only four rebounds, but he still had 10 rebound chances. Assuming Horford sees his minutes return to normal this evening, he should be a near-lock for roughly 10 rebound chances, with even more opportunity being a possibility if Boston can figure out how to force a few missed shots. Take the over here.

NBA DFS Pick’em

Jayson Tatum more than 30.0 points, PrizePicks

Other than an abysmal showing in Game 3, Jayson Tatum has been extremely productive in this series against the Miami Heat. In Game 1, Tatum scored 30 points on only 17 shot attempts. In Game 2, he had 34 points on 20 attempts from the field, getting to the line at a high rate for his third consecutive contest, dating back to the previous round. After playing 41 minutes or more in each of the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals, it is safe to assume that Tatum’s 33 minutes this past Sunday in Game 3 were a direct result of the blowout game script. In Game 4, the Boston Celtics have their season on the line, which means Tatum is going to have as many minutes as he can handle in this spot. As we saw last night with LeBron James, if a star is going to get eliminated, they are at least going to put on a show. Expect Tatum to come ready to play on Tuesday.
