NBA Player Props – Nets vs. 76ers, April 17, 2023

James Harden o5.5 rebounds (-130), PointsBet

In Game 1, James Harden collected only four actual rebounds, but he played 36 minutes and was second on the team with 10 rebound chances. According to props.cash, Harden has eclipsed this market number in 35 of 58 games played during the regular season, including 19 of 33 contests at home. Overall, Harden averaged 6.1 rebounds per game this year. From Feburary 11 to the end of the regular season, the Brooklyn Nets ranked 29th in rebound percentage and 27th in opponent rebounds per game. Expect Harden to continue to have opportunities on the glass in this series – take the over.

Joel Embiid o10.5 rebounds (-110), FanDuel

Joel Embiid ranked eighth in the entire NBA during the regular season in rebounds per game (10.2). In his 2023 playoff opener, Embiid only collected five rebounds, but the game script was most non-competive, and the rest of the Philadelphia roster had a strong performance on the glass, which did not necessitate an Embiid takeover. In Game 2, bettors should expect a more active Embiid on the boards. Since the beginning of April, the Brooklyn Nets have allowed 14 rebounds to Karl-Anthony Towns and 15 rebounds to Goga Bitadze. The Nets ranked 29th in rebound percentage and 27th in opponent rebounds per game following the departure of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving prior to the trade deadline. Expect Embiid to expose this vulnerability in what should be a more competitive Game 2.

Tyrese Maxey more than 3.5 rebounds, PrizePicks

In the series opener, Tyrese Maxey had six actual rebounds and seven rebound chances. Only P.J. Tucker collected more boards in Game 1 for the 76ers than Maxey. Maxey averaged only 2.9 rebounds per game during the regular season, but he has now eclipsed this market number in nine of his last 10 trips to the hardwood, dating back to March 20. Facing a Brooklyn team that is weak on the glass, Maxey should have a great opportunity to continue this trend on Monday evening.
