NBA Player Props – Suns vs. Nuggets, May 5, 2023
- Kevin Durant o28.5 points
- Devin Booker u7.5 assists
- Aaron Gordon more than 15.0 points
Kevin Durant o28.5 points (-130), DraftKings
In Game 1 of this series, Kevin Durant had 29 points on only 19 shot attempts, but he had only 24 points in Game 2, despite a dramatic increase in volume – shooting the ball 27 times in a losing effort. Returning home for Game 3, Durant, the best player on the floor for the Suns, has little choice but to be extremely aggressive once again. After playing 44 minutes in Monday’s loss, Durant has answered all questions about his health. Expect him to have as many minutes as he can handle tonight – take the over on his points prop.
Devin Booker u7.5 assists (+104), FanDuel
The absence of Chris Paul is going to lead many bettors to take a look at Devin Booker’s assists prop on Friday night, but this market number is set prohibitively high. According to props.cash, Booker has only recorded eight or more assists in nine of his last 24 games played with Paul out of the lineup, dating back to last year. Playing at home in that span, Booker is only 3-for-12 to the over at this market number. Booker is likely to be the team’s primary facilitator in Paul’s absence, but Kevin Durant should also see an increase in potential assists as well. At such a high number, the under has value at plus money.
NBA DFS Pick’em
Aaron Gordon more than 15.0 points, PrizePicks
In the first two games of this series, Aaron Gordon has scored 23 points and 16 points, respectively. In both games, Gordon played 39 minutes, while Michael Porter Jr. has averaged only 27 minutes and less than 10 field goal attempts per game. After averaging 13.4 points per game during the opening round of these playoffs, Gordon has begun to establish himself as a reliable offensive threat for the Denver Nuggets. Expect that to continue on Friday.
