NBA Player Props, February 27, 2023
- C.J. McCollum o5.5 assists
- LaMelo Ball o32.5 points + rebounds
- Mark Williams o21.5 points + rebounds
C.J. McCollum o5.5 assists (-115), FanDuel
Since Brandon Ingram returned to the lineup on January 25, C.J. McCollum has eclipsed this market number in four of his five games against teams that rank in the bottom-half of the league in opponent assists per game in that span. In his lone miss, McCollum had five assists on 11 potential assists against the Toronto Raptors on the road. Tonight, McCollum gets a favorable matchup against an Orlando Magic defense that ranks 19th in opponent assists per game across the last month, and the New Orleans Pelicans are at home. McCollum has at least five assists in 15 of his last 19 home games, with zero games of fewer than four assists – proving that he is competitive at this number. Trust him to get the job done on Monday night.
LaMelo Ball o32.5 points + rebounds (-109), Caesars
Per CourtIQ, LaMelo Ball is averaging 27.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per 36 minutes of action this season with P.J. Washington off of the floor. On Saturday, with Washington out of the lineup, Ball had only 19 points, but attempted 22 shots – struggling with his efficiency against a Miami Heat team that ranks sixth in defensive efficiency on the road across the last month. On Monday, Ball gets a much more favorable matchup against a Detroit Pistons team that ranks 22nd in defensive efficiency during the last 30 days, and 27th in defensive efficiency on the road for the season. Assuming that Ball attempts 20 shots or more this evening, he will have a great opportunity to flirt with 30 points. Bettors can also include his rebounds here, considering that he has not had fewer than six boards in a game since January 18.
Mark Williams o21.5 points + rebounds (-120), BetMGM
On Saturday, with P.J. Washington out of the lineup, Mark Williams played 29 minutes. In that contest, Williams scored 18 points on 12 shot attempts and collected 20 rebounds on 23 rebound chances against a Miami Heat team that ranks sixth in defensive efficiency on the road across the last 30 days of action. Tonight, Washington is listed as doubtful to suit-up, leaving Williams poised for another strong performance, this time against a Detroit Pistons team that ranks 22nd in defensive efficiency on the road since January 27, and 27th in defensive efficiency in 31 total road games this year. Against the Heat, 10 of Williams’ 12 shot attempts came in the restricted area, where the Pistons rank 25th in opponent field goal attempts and 24th in opponent field goal percentage this season. Take the over in this spot.
