NBA Player Props – Knicks vs. Cavaliers, April 18, 2023

R.J. Barrett u24.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120), BetMGM

In Game 1, RJ Barrett went 2-for-12 from the field, scoring only seven points. In all five meetings against the Cleveland Cavaliers this year, Barrett has scored 16 points or fewer. On the glass, Barrett had only six rebound chances, which ranked seventh on the team. Barrett’s assists seemingly present a risk here after he dished six dimes in the series opener, but it was the first time all season that he had more than two assists against Cleveland – making a repeat of that performance unlikely. As much as the New York Knicks want Barrett to be a strong contributor for this team, he simply isn’t. Take the under in this spot.

Julius Randle u24.5 points (-117), Caesars

According to props.cash, Julius Randle has eclipsed this market number in only one of four meetings against the Cleveland Cavaliers this season. In three of those contests, Randle has scored fewer than 20 points. Randle was only cleared for contact shortly before tip-off to begin this series due to an injury that forced him to miss multiple games down the stretch. It is entirely possible that his inefficiency continues to pop-up throughout the opening round of the postseason if he is truly at less than 100 percent health.

Jarrett Allen more than 10.5 rebounds, PrizePicks

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been out-rebounded in all five matchups against the New York Knicks this season, but it has not been Jarrett Allen’s fault. In three games played against the Knicks, Allen has yet to record fewer than 12 rebounds. In Game 1 of this series, Allen had 14 rebounds on a team-high 28 rebound chances. Expect him to be active on the glass once again on Tuesday night in a must-win game for the Cavaliers.
