NBA Player Props – Suns vs. Nuggets, May 9, 2023
- Kevin Durant o45.5 points + rebounds + assists
- Devin Booker o45.5 points + rebounds + assists
- Kentavious Caldwell-Pope more than 9.5 points
Kevin Durant o45.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120), BetMGM
It is hard to overstate how reliant the Phoenix Suns are on Kevin Durant and Devin Booker to be competitive in this series. On Friday night in Game 3, the duo combined to score 86 of Phoenix’s 121 total points. In Game 4, Durant and Booker combined for another 72 points. Durant has played at least 43 minutes in each of the last three games and has attempted 27 field goals or more in two of those contests. In a pivotal Game 5, expect Durant to be plenty busy once again – take the over here.
Devin Booker o45.5 points + rebounds + assists (-105), PointsBet
In Game 3, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant attempted a combined 56 shot attempts for Phoenix on Friday night, scoring 86 of their 121 points. No other roster member took more than nine shots or scored more than seven points. In Game 4, the duo combined for 72 points. They had 18 and 19 shot attempts, respectively, with no other member of the team having more than nine field goal attempts. Booker led the team in assists in both of those contests and has also been active on the glass. There does not appear to be a scenario in which Booker plays fewer than 40 minutes tonight, assuming the game script remains relatively competitive. This is another good opportunity to take the over.
NBA DFS Pick’em
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope less than 9.5 points, PrizePicks
It is a known phenomenon in the NBA that role players perform better in the comfort of their home building compared to playing on the road. In two home games in this series, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is averaging 12.0 points and has combined to shoot 7-for-12 from beyond the arc. In two road games, he has averaged 6.0 points and is a combined 0-for-4 from three-point land. Returning home for Game 5, Caldwell-Pope is poised for another double-digit effort.
