NBA Player Props, February 12, 2023
- Pascal Siakam o24.5 points
- Derrick White o25.5 points + rebounds + assists
- Malcolm Brogdon o3.5 assists
Pascal Siakam o24.5 points (-113), FanDuel
Playing at home this season with O.G. Anunoby out of the lineup, Pascal Siakam is averaging 26.3 points per 36 minutes of action. Overall, Siakam has eclipsed this market number in 15 of his last 22 home games, including six of his last eight contests in Canada. Today, he gets a favorable matchup against a Detroit Pistons team that ranks 26th in defensive efficiency, 25th in opponent field goal percentage, and 28th in opponent free throw attempts allowed per game on the road this year. If Siakam plays close to 35 minutes in this matchup, he should have a great opportunity to cash the over in this spot.
Derrick White o25.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115), DraftKings
Per CourtIQ, when Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart are both off of the floor this season, Derrick White is averaging 19.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per 36 minutes of action. In three games this season with both players off of the floor, White is averaging 17.7 field goal attempts per game – meaning that he has had consistently high volume in these spots. According to props.cash, White has totaled at least 32 points + rebounds + assists in each of his three contests with Brown and Smart in street clothes this year. Entering play, White is averaging 21.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists during the month of February. Assuming a competitive game script, White should have a great opportunity to hit the over here.
Malcolm Brogdon o3.5 assists (-135), PointsBet
According to props.cash, Malcolm Brogdon has eclipsed this market number in an astounding 29 of 33 games played without Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart, dating back to last season, including both games this season with the Celtics. Per CourtIQ, Brogdon is averaging 5.9 assists per 36 minutes of action this year when Brown and Smart are both off of the floor at the same time. In his most recent contest against the Charlotte Hornets, Brogdon had four actual assists on nine potential assists. On February 6, he had four actual assists on 10 potential assists against the Detroit Pistons. This afternoon, he gets an incredibly favorable matchup against a Memphis Grizzlies defense that ranks 28th in opponent assists per game across their last nine contests. The math makes sense here, take the over and live with the result.
