NBA Player Props, February 14, 2023
- Devin Booker o24.5 points
- Damian Lillard u35.5 points
- Pascal Siakam 25+ points
Devin Booker o24.5 points (-120), BetMGM
In two games since returning from injury, Devin Booker has yet to eclipse this market number. However, the reason for that has been inefficiency rather than a lack of opportunity. Against the Nets, Booker had 19 points on 6-for-15 shooting from the field, including a 2-for-8 performance from beyond-the-arc. Against the Pacers, Booker scored 21 points, but shot only 7-for-18 from the field, including 3-for-9 from deep. Tonight, Booker gets to play at home for the first time since returning to the floor, and he gets an incredibly favorable matchup. Across the last 30 days, the Kings rank 19th in defensive efficiency, 26th in opponent field goal percentage, and 26th in opponent three-point field goal percentage. This is a worthwhile risk for bettors.
Damian Lillard u35.5 points (-111), FanDuel
Damian Lillard has been on a tear of late, averaging 35.7 points per game during the month of February. Still, this is an incredibly high market number for any player. On the season, Lillard has only hit the over at this number 38.0% of the time. In seven games to begin the new month, Lillard is only 4-3 to the over at this number. Tonight, Lillard has a date with the Washington Wizards on the second night of a back-to-back set. Entering play, Washington ranks 10th in opponent field goal percentage, 12th in opponent three-point percentage, and sixth in opponent free throw attempts per game across their last 13 contests. In seven road games during that span, the Wizards have been even tougher defensively. Lillard is undoubtedly elite, but it is difficult to consistently flirt with 40 points. Expect a slight decrease in efficiency from Lillard this evening, which should be enough to result in an under in this spot.
Pascal Siakam 25+ points (-145), FanDuel
Pascal Siakam has been great to us in this article during the Toronto Raptors’ current home stand. In three games since returning to Canada, Siakam has scored no fewer than 28 points, nor has he attempted fewer than 19 shot attempts in any contest. Tonight, he gets another palatable matchup at home against the Orlando Magic. Though Orlando has been playing better defensively of late, Siakam’s volume and efficiency on his home floor make him a worthwhile look once again for bettors. At home this year, Siakam is averaging 25.4 points on 48.7% shooting from the field, including 41.7% shooting from beyond-the-arc. If playing at FanDuel, the alternate line is worthy of consideration, due to the fact that this market number continues to rise from game to game.
