NBA Player Props, February 28, 2023

Lu Dort o24.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120), DraftKings

On Sunday, we got hooked on “(player-popup #lu-dort)Lu Dort”:/players/lu-dort-1153418’s points + assists in this article, but we are running it back again in the exact same matchup this evening. Per CourtIQ, Dort is averaging 23.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per 36 minutes of action this season with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander off of the floor. In six games with Gilgeous-Alexander off of the floor this year, Dort has attempted no fewer than 14 shots in any individual game, and he has eclipsed this market number on his combination stats all but once – getting hooked against the Sacramento Kings two days ago. Across the last 30 days, Sacramento ranks 25th in defensive efficiency, 30th in opponent field goal percentage, and 30th in opponent assists per game. Take the over on Dort’s prop here in an incredibly favorable matchup.

Jordan Poole o4.5 assists (-151), Caesars

This play is juiced, but it is likely to be worth the squeeze. According to props.cash, Jordan Poole has eclipsed this market number in 19 of his last 29 games played with Stephen Curry in street clothes, dating back to last season. This season, Poole is averaging 5.1 assists per 36 minutes of action when both Curry and Andrew Wiggins are off of the floor. Tonight, Poole gets a favorable matchup against a Portland Trail Blazers team that ranks 30th in defensive efficiency and 27th in opponent assists per game across the last 30 days. Take the over and live with the result.

Kyrie Irving o35.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110), DraftKings

Despite shooting 8-for-22 from the field on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers, Kyrie Irving still managed to eclipse this market number on his combination stats, finishing with 37 points + rebounds + assists. Entering play, Irving has eclipsed this market number in 11 of his last 14 contests, including four of his last five games since joining the Dallas Mavericks. On Tuesday, he gets a favorable matchup against an Indiana Pacers team that ranks 26th in defensive efficiency, 25th in opponent free throw attempts per game, 29th in rebound percentage, and 24th in opponent assists per game across the last 30 days of action. Trust him to get the job done in this spot against a Pacers team that is rapidly descending in the Eastern Conference standings.
