rg homepage bigevents breakdown medium

While we are getting near of the end of the qualifying periods for the huge million dollar tournaments, big prizes will continue to be up for grabs for weeks to come, but for now, let’s take a look in the rearview mirror and check out the big Week 11 winners… All RotoGrinders members will have their names bolded.

It was a big week for RotoGrinders in the DFFC and PFFC, as RG made a clean sweep of all five qualifiers which ran on Draftstreet and StarStreet. PrimeTime420 ($22 and $215) and tipandpick ($420) won themselves a trip to Vegas, while our very own RotoGrindersCal and shanksalot are headed to the Playboy Mansion. Plenty of other members also had big performances in Week 12, so let’s dive in to all the major action from this past weekend.

Draftstreet $420 DFFC Qualifier

Finish Player Prize
1 tipandpick DFFC Main Event Entry
2 TruWired $4000
3 maxdalury $2200
4 nyyb89 $1600
5 TheOnlyLimitIsTheSky $1200
6 Fantasy Alarm $1100
7 TwoGun $1000
8 peter413 $900
9 TwoGun $800
10 metsfan828 $800

Congratulations to tipandpick for barely edging out first place and a trip to Vegas for the DFFC. He really needed every last point from Colin Kaepernick on MNF, and believe it or not the kneel downs at the end almost cost him first place. Tipandpick is 68th on the NFL Grinder leaderboard and is currently 80th in the TPOY rankings. He edged out TruWired by a score of 178.46-178.44, so the sweat that these two went through must have been heart-wrenching. A big game from Josh Gordon put TruWired way ahead of the pack, considering Gordon was just 6% owned. TruWired (aka rich100k) is 123rd on the NFL Grinder leaderboard. Maxdalury (9th on the overall leaderboard) made a big push on Monday night thanks to a combined 5 TD’s from his Kaepernick-Boldin combination, but it wasn’t quite enough to win him another DFFC entry. Nyyb89 followed behind in fourth with a nice Charles/Moreno tandem at RB, and was part of the 11% who benefited from the return of Nate Burleson (17.2 points for just 5.8K). TheOnlyLimitIsTheSky (aka campbell00021) finished fifth, and currently sits in 67th in the overall rankings as well as 110th on the NFL Grinder leaderboard. TwoGun ended up with two top-ten entries, 7th and 9th place. He’s our 15th ranked NFL Grinder and is the 40th overall ranked player. Metsfan828 (6th on the NFL Grinder leaderboard, 12th in overall rankings) rounds things out in tenth place.

Draftstreet $215 DFFC Qualifier

Finish Player Prize
1 PrimeTime420 DFFC Main Event Entry
2 ebba $3300
3 inverseParanoid $1800
4 rotokevin $1200
5 TwoGun $900
6 rolltidechamps $700
7 goobretty $600
8 rolltidechamps $600
9 tscott99 $500
10 omegia $500

PrimeTime420 takes down the first of his two DFFC seats in the $215 Q by rolling out the under owned tandem of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Kendall Wright, which combined with four productive RB’s was good enough for the trip to Vegas. PrimeTime is ranked 7th in our overall rankings, and is still fighting for the TPOY award in 4th place. InverseParanoid wasn’t too far behind in third, thanks to hitting on the play of the day (Josh Gordon) who was only 4% owned. Rotokevin (75th in the overall rankings) finished fourth and managed to find many of the best dollar-for-dollar plays of the day in Gordon, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Nate Burleson and Jamaal Charles. TwoGun makes yet another top-10 appearance, followed by rolltidechamps (245th in the overall rankings) in both 6th and 8th place.

Draftstreet $22 DFFC Qualifier

Finish Player Prize

2 PrimeTime420 $2400
3 mackcream $1200
4 delta3 $650

6 Chris9720 $350
7 DillingerFour $250
8 ssherbondy $150
9 cdmrhino27 $100
10 tamasterson10 $100

PrimeTime didn’t have to sweat this out quite like he did in the $215, and even managed to secure two spots atop the leaderboard. If you take a look at how diverse those two lineups were, it makes even that much more impressive. DillingerFour (431st in the overall rankings) finished seventh as his San Francisco stack shot him up the leaderboard during MNF. Josh Gordon and Knowshon Moreno also helped quite a bit.

StarStreet $1K PFFC Qualifier

Finish Player Prize
1 shanksalot PFFC Main Event Entry
2 FantasyAlarm $1000
3 TheSicness $1000
4 TommyG1979 $0
5 TheTakeOVER $0
6 PrimeTime420 $0
7 McJester $0
8 seabie123 $0
9 BirdWings $0
10 bryanpellegrino $0

After finishing 8th in the $500 PFFC Q last weekend, shanksalot took down the 1K this week! I’m sure he was skeptical of his chances going into Monday night, but his Kaepernick-Boldin tandem went off and ultimately pushed him over the top. Shanks is 13th in the TPOY race and is 45th on the NFL Grinder leaderboard. FantasyAlarm (424th on NFL Grinder leaderboard) had to be heart-broken over what unfolded on Monday night, but still had a very productive lineup thanks to a well-chosen Patriots mini-stack. TommyG1979 finished fourth with a Brady-Gronk and Fitzpatrick-Wright combination, which worked out quite well. The GrindersLive host is 107th in the TPOY rankings but should keep climbing through the NBA season. TheTakeOVER (15th in the overall rankings, 16th in the TPOY rankings) finished fifth with a Brady-Vereen-Gronkowski trio, followed by PrimeTime who kept the good times rolling on SS, but could have had a much bigger day had it not been for a few unlucky busts. McJester finished seventh for the second straight week, and has climbed all the way up to 2nd in the TPOY rankings, so things have to be going well for him. He’s been just as successful so far this NBA season as he’s been with his NFL action. Seabie123 (194th on the NFL Grinder leaderboard) finished eighth, followed by our Expert Picks writer BirdWings (3rd in the overall rankings, 4th on the NFL Grinder leaderboard) in ninth and bryanpellegrino (aka primordialAA, 94th on the NFL Grinder leaderboard) in tenth.

StarStreet $109 PFFC Qualifier

Finish Player Prize
1 RotoGrindersCal PFFC Main Event Entry
2 ineedmoney23 $1000
3 pkane1 $112
4 TheSicness $111
5 jonathan7018 $111
6 Westy $111
7 jordanh415 $111
8 RotoGrindersCal $111
9 TheTakeOVER $111
10 BirdWings $111

Couldn’t be happier to see Cal (RotoGrindersCal) take down the 109$ Q this week after coming very close last week with two top-five finishes. A strong Monday night performance from Kaepernick and Vernon Davis put it away for Cal as he outscored second place by more than 10 points. The contrary plays of Keenan Allen and Larry Fitzgerald really set him apart from the field. Cal is 20th in the TPOY rankings and 66th in the overall rankings. Ineedmoney23 finished second, and was part of the 1% who hit on Tiquan Underwood’s big game in Detroit. He’s currently 22nd in the TPOY rankings and 194th on the NFL Grinder leaderboard. Pkane1 finished third, and was part of the 5% that benefited from Knowshon Moreno insane workload on Sunday night. Jonathan7018 (aka Jongb35) rounds out the top-five with a McCown to Marshall combination, and also hit on Boldin, Charles and Brady. Westy, our 16th ranked NFL Grinder, finished sixth, followed by another entry from Cal in eigth place. TheTakeOVER and BirdWings rang in at ninth and tenth, and when all was said and done on Monday night, RG members made up 17 of the top 20 entries combining the two qualifiers.

DraftKings Sunday 200 Grand ($200K Guaranteed)

Finish Player Prize
1 geotico $25,000 + FMGF Entry
2 geotico $12,000 + FMGF Entry
3 geotico $7,500 + FMGF Entry
4 highnine $6,250 + FMGF Entry
5 Ben919 $5,000 + FMGF Entry
6 geotico $4,000
7 m1ndl3ss $3,000
8 Jardine91 $2,500
9 shanksalot $2,000
10 dolfan6132 $1,250

Geotico completely owned the 200 grand this week, finishing with the three top entries and four of the top six overall. He had plenty of entries in this one, but he took down a combined $48,500 (not to mention 3 FMGF entries) in this tournament… That’s more than some people make in a year. He rostered Josh Gordon, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, so you can understand why he was suddenly much wealthier after Week 12. Highnine finished fourth and also benefited from a big day out of Gordon, but also played the Steelers defense and received great production from them. Ben919 just barely edged out fifth place for the final FMGF entry, as his Kaepernick to Boldin combo really came through. Ben is 133rd in the overall rankings and is 210th on the NFL Grinder leaderboard. The Grinders keep on coming in this tournament, with Jardine91 finishing eighth. He also hit on the San Francisco QB/WR combo. Shanksalot kept his successful Week 12 going with a ninth place finish, good for another 2K.

DraftDay’s Bracket Blitz Heating UP

The $11 DraftDay Bracket Blitz is coming down to the end with only a few weeks left before a champion is crowned. Tipandpick still has multiple entries left, so hopefully he can keep moving on and eventually take it down, because we need an RG member to knock this deeshen13 character out of the title. He has been the player with the most entries in both brackets and has even been playing himself in a few of his match-ups… so let’s go tipandpick! I apologize if I missed any remaining RG members who are still left in the tournament, but that bracket is nearly impossible to sort through.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you guys, may you enjoy your day of food, family and daily fantasy football.
