The NFL brings the heat for Sunday Night Football with a pair of AFC Championship contenders. The white-hot Buffalo Bills travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens. The Ravens righted the ship in Week 3 in Dallas and look far more formidable. The Bills pounded the Jaguars en route to a 3-0 start and a clear grip on the AFC East. In what could potentially be a preview of a playoff game, let’s break down injuries, stats, and betting odds.

Bills vs. Ravens Same Game Parlay Preview

DraftKings Sportsbook posts the Ravens as 2.5-point favorites at home on Sunday night. Sports betting sites tell us that on a neutral field, the Bills are just a hair better than the Ravens. The implied game total is a beefy 46.5 points.

An overwhelming majority of bets and dollars rest on the Buffalo side despite being on the road. ScoresAndOdds notes that 72% of tickets are on the Buffalo spread. Normally, the sharps deviate from the public sentiment. However, 58% of dollars are also on the spread.

The bulk of all wagers and money bet the over throughout the week, but the number has not moved. Opening at 46.5, the implied game total seems stuck even if most of the action expects points. With two of the better offenses in the NFL, fireworks might be on display in Baltimore.

The Bills will miss Taron Johnson and Terrel Bernard again in Week 4. Bernard is a big loss given what the Ravens will want to do. After Derrick Henry was set free against the Cowboys, the Ravens will want their big acquisition to control the game. The secondary issue did not prove to be a great concern against the Jaguars, although Christian Kirk had a nice game in the slot. Keep an eye on Zay Flowers.

Starting center Tyler Linderbaum is questionable for the Ravens. More worrisome is the doubtful tag on Michael Pierce. The stud nose tackle is a key contributor on a defense allowing the fewest yards per carry to backs in 2024.

Derrick Henry looked like his old self in Week 3. The big back had 25 carries for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Ravens steamrolled the Dallas defense and controlled the flow of the game. With Lamar Jackson also rushing at a high clip, the Ravens’ offense will look to keep Josh Allen off the field.

Josh Allen continued his MVP-like pace against the Jaguars on Monday night. The Bills poured it on, as Allen went 23 of 30 for 260+ passing yards and 4 touchdowns. If the Jaguars could keep pace at all, Allen could have easily exceeded 300 passing yards. With the Ravens’ stalwart rushing defense, Allen might be forced to throw the football a lot on Sunday night. We do prefer to target weaker defenses, but the Ravens might force the ball into Allen’s hands. Allen has yet to turn the ball over in 2024.

Buffalo leads the league in offensive scoring, and the Ravens are just behind at 11th. I expect the Ravens to move closer to the top, as the Bills could stay pat if their defense struggles to stop opponents. The Bills rank in the top 10 in scoring defense, while the Ravens’ pass defense has put their scoring defense near the bottom of the league. Expect a big night from the pass catchers for Buffalo with Allen throwing all night.

One team wants to run and the other team will be forced to throw. Let’s check out some player props and build a Sunday Night Football same game parlay.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Bills vs. Ravens

Derrick Henry Over 68.5 Rushing Yards

The King is back. With the Buffalo injuries, the Ravens should run the ball all game. Baltimore could keep possession at home and leave Josh Allen on the sidelines.

We know that when Derrick Henry is going downhill, he is going to punish defenses and tire them out. Knowing their defensive struggles against passers, Baltimore will use a heavy dose of Henry and Jackson to run the clock down.

This feels too good to be true. The only way this prop can’t get there is if Buffalo comes out to a big lead. We will take our chances.

Josh Allen Over 232.5 Passing Yards

My favorite prop of the night. After weeks of allowing piles of passing yards, how is Josh Allen projected at 232.5 yards? I feel a ladder in my future.

As for my parlay, though, this needs to be included. Allen is going to be required to make plays, as the Baltimore defense doesn’t bend against the rush. I do think the Bills will try to get James Cook his carries. With that said, when they run into a wall repeatedly, they won’t have a choice.

In primetime, Allen is going to be asked to make plays. If he continues with his incredible efficiency, this could be cleared in the third quarter.

Zay Flowers Over 4.5 Receptions

Zay Flowers had double-digit targets in the first 2 weeks of the season. Flowers were used far less in Week 3 when the Ravens blew the Cowboys away. In a more competitive game with a missing slot corner, Flowers should be featured often. While the run game should be the focus, the Ravens will need to move the ball to convert first downs and keep drives alive.

With the Bills consistently shutting down outside receivers, look for Flowers to be heavily involved. This could be another ladder on Sunday night.
