Browns vs. Broncos Same Game Parlay Picks for Today

Broncos quarterback Nix

The Broncos welcome the Cleveland Browns to Denver for the last game on the Week 13 slate. The Broncos improved their playoff hopes without even touching the football as all of the Wild Card contenders except the Indianapolis Colts lost. A win would solidify Denver’s position in the playoffs and tie records with the Baltimore Ravens. The Browns continue to fight with very little to play for — coming off of a snowy victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Browns vs. Broncos Same Game Parlay Preview

DraftKings Sportsbook offers the Broncos as considerable favorites. The betting spread is 6.5 points in favor of the home team, with an implied game total at 42 points. The Broncos continue to play strong defense and improve offensively each week as rookie Bo Nix grows into the quarterback position. Per ScoresAndOdds, a majority of betting tickets and handle are on the Denver side of the spread and the over.

The NFL weather page on Monday night shouldn’t play a big role with very little wind and relatively warm temperatures given the wintery conditions across the league in Week 13. For Denver, the injury report won’t have a great impact either as only Josh Reynolds is questionable. For the Browns, Cedric Tillman will not play with a concussion. Denzel Ward is questionable with an ankle injury.

Jameis Winston captured the hearts of NFL fans on social media with his pure jubilation related to his first snow game. Cleveland fans were jubilant as well when the Browns were able to upset the NFC North-leading Pittsburgh Steelers in heavy snow. Winston’s play was spotty, but the weather was horrendous. In the 3 previous games, Winston threw the football more than 40 times. With the weather far more conducive for the passing game, Jameis might be forced to throw the football again if Cleveland falls behind on the road. The Broncos defense ranks ninth in total passing yards allowed per game (199.8).

Aside from featuring the 2nd-ranked scoring defense in the NFL, Denver is winning games as Nix continues to develop at the quarterback position. Without any truly dynamic playmakers, Nix continues to play extremely well in Sean Payton’s offense. Nix has 8 passing touchdowns to 0 interceptions over his last 3 games. All 3 games could have been wins if not for a blocked field goal against the Kansas City Chiefs. Denver ranks 17th in scoring offense but has scored 27 PPG over their last 3 games.

Where Denver struggles is on the ground. Audric Estime now receives carries in a crowded Denver backfield, but nobody has emerged as a top option. Over the last 3 games, Denver only averages 3.5 yards per rushing attempt. The Browns rank in the bottom 3rd of the NFL with respect to yards per rushing attempt. Perhaps a Denver running back can log an efficient offensive performance.

Without Amari Cooper and now Tillman, who is going to be the go-to receiver for Winston. Winston throws the football a lot and that shouldn’t change against a defense that only allows 3.8 yards per rushing attempt. Since Jameis took over, Jerry Jeudy seems to be the alpha receiver — seeing 36 targets over 4 games. Jeudy accrued more than 50% of his 645 receiving yards in just the last 4 weeks. If behind, Jeudy and David Njoku (28 targets in 4 games) are likely to gain most of Winston’s attention.

The Cleveland defense allows 7.3 yards per passing attempt. After Jayden Daniels put together a great performance against Tennessee, Nix should be able to counter-punch against a weak passing defense. Courtland Sutton has at least 8 targets in five consecutive games and should be the top receiver for Nix on Monday night.

A game that might have looked pretty boring on paper could surprise us if both passing games can click early. Should we build a sneaky shootout script? Let’s comb through props on DraftKings and build our last same game parlay for Week 13.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Browns vs. Broncos

Bo Nix 225+ Passing Yards

The Browns give up plenty of passing yards per attempt. Nix has been white-hot of late, and Denver’s path of least resistance is through the air. Nix is a great place to start our SGP.

On DraftKings, Nix is posted at +170 to win the offensive rookie of the year. Jayden Daniels regained some ground after an excellent performance against Tennessee. Nix has the matchup to close that gap for futures bettors. Denver ranks in the middle of the pack in passing attempts per game. The efficiency against a bad defense will get Nix over this modest total.

While we fear a blowout, Nix would likely have a great game log if Denver were to be way ahead. I think Nix will establish himself in a playoff-solidifying victory.

Courtland Sutton Over 65.5 Receiving Yards

Sutton is quietly putting together one of his best offensive seasons with Nix at quarterback. Sutton exceeded this receiving total in 5 straight games and will play in a far better matchup. With Cleveland willing to keep the foot on the gas throughout the game with the passing game, Sutton could see a few more looks on Monday night.

The Browns rank middle of the pack in yards ceded to wide receivers but have one less game than the league. With each win pivotal for the Broncos, I anticipate an explosive passing performance from Denver.

David Njoku Over 47.5 Receiving Yards

Finally, Njoku doesn’t have the best matchup on paper, but with Tillman missing and Jeudy receiving the Patrick Surtain treatment, Njoku will likely see more opportunities.

Njoku saw 5 targets in the snow and only caught one pass. Don’t expect that type of inefficiency, even if Winston is not known for accuracy. Njoku saw at least 7 targets in his previous six starts and should see a bigger piece of the pie tonight.
