How does such a small slate impact the way you utilize stacking in your lineup(s)?
headChopper: In college, there isn’t the same need to stack as in the NFL. Mainly for the reason I mentioned earlier: the QBs run so much that it isn’t as necessary. On this slate, I feel the same way about QB stacking. I still want to pair Preston Stone with pass catchers, but that’s the only one. However, I think team stacking comes more into play on a small slate. Getting multiple RBs from the same team isn’t a bad thing or pairing a WR with an RB from the same team. I’ll be focusing more on overall team stacking from various positions on this small slate.
MrTuttle05: I am more likely to “overstack” on a slate this small. On normal main slates, there are enough games where there will be multiple teams that overperform their expectation, increasing the number of reasonable non-stacking combinations that could ship a GPP. On a 3-game slate, we could end up with only one team (or zero) that overperforms expectations significantly, and in that instance, you’ll want to have 4+ pieces of that team in your lineup.

stlcardinals84: I will do a few more game stacks than normal, especially since all 3 games have very similar totals. If one game becomes a shootout or an overtime thriller, that game is likely to have 4 or more players in the winning GPP lineups. This is especially true when you consider how unpredictable most of the touches will be for all of these offenses.
Jordan Vanek: In college football, there really is no “wrong way” to stack, especially on a small slate like this one. I often think back to a small slate when USC was playing and Kedon Slovis was the quarterback. That week, Drake London, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tyler Vaughns, and Michael Pittman all hit the 100-yard bonus. The winning lineup featured 4 USC wide receivers stacked with Slovis at QB. With the big spreads and high totals on this slate, we could see a scenario where 4-5 players from one team end up in the optimal lineup. SMU has the playmakers to make this happen, but it will depend on head coach Rhett Lashlee reducing the rotation at RB and WR.
