Chargers vs. Jets Player Props for MNF
- Austin Ekeler o32.5 Receiving Yards
- Breece Hall u60.5 Rushing Yards
- Joshua Kelley Less Than 21.5 Rushing Yards
Austin Ekeler o32.5 Receiving Yards (-133), Caesars
Austin Ekeler has played in four games this season and has eclipsed this market number three times. In 2022, Ekeler eclipsed this market number in 12 of 17 regular season contests. The Jets have allowed 40 receiving yards to D’Andre Swift, 73 receiving yards to Samaje Perine, 43 receiving yards to Isiah Pachecho, and 37 receiving yards to Tony Pollard this season. This market number is simply too low for a player as talented as Ekeler, especially considering the matchup.
Breece Hall u60.5 Rushing Yards (-110), FanDuel
The Los Angeles Chargers have quietly emerged as one of the better run defenses in the NFL this season, allowing the ninth-fewest rushing yards per play of any team in the league as of this writing. The advanced metrics paint this Chargers defense in a positive light as well, with the team ranking 10th in Rush EPA/play. Breece Hall has all of the talent in the world, but he simply does not have a capable offensive line blocking for him, which limits his ceiling for rushing yards on a weekly basis. Across the last two weeks, Hall is averaging only 2.3 yards per attempt on the ground. This is unlikely to be the matchup in which he busts out of that slump.
NFL DFS Pick’em
Joshua Kelley Less Than 21.5 Rushing Yards, PrizePicks
Joshua Kelley did an okay enough job holding down the fort for the Chargers while Austin Ekeler was on the sidelines, but there is simply no justification for him to be heavily involved in the action when Ekeler is healthy. Last week, Kelley had 21 rushing yards and played only six rushing snaps. The week prior, he had only nine rushing snaps. The New York Jets defense ranks 9th in Rush EPA/play and 6th in Rush success rate this fall. Kelley is unlikely to be able to eclipse this market number with such limited opportunities.
