Same game parlays are more popular than ever on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings. Follow along as Joe Cistaro builds his own Chiefs vs Ravens same-game parlay ahead of the AFC Championship game this Sunday.

The Baltimore Ravens host the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. After a tumultuous regular season, the Chiefs are rounding into form at the perfect time. Patrick Mahomes is not accustomed to road playoff games but was successful in his first attempt in Buffalo. The Ravens continue to look like the best team in the NFL and will be a mountain to climb for the Chiefs. Let’s take a look at betting odds, injury news, and relevant statistics before building a fun same-game parlay ticket for the AFC Championship.

Chiefs vs. Ravens Same Game Parlay Preview

At the time of this writing, the Ravens are 3.5-point favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook. Per ScoresAndOdds, 66% of the betting handle sits on the Baltimore side of the spread. Given the home-field advantage and the prowess of the Ravens, it’s no wonder sports bettors prefer the Ravens.

As for the game total, the action is split. The over-under is set at 44.5 for the game. Two-thirds of the betting spread tickets are on the over. Meanwhile, the same ratio of the actual money bet on the total sits with the under. For a game of this magnitude, it isn’t surprising that the public likes the over while the bigger bets fall on the under.

Baltimore might get an infusion of talent ahead of the AFC Championship game on Sunday. Marlon Humphrey was able to practice this week after missing the last two games with a calf injury. Mark Andrews was activated ahead of the championship game and should be on a pitch count.

Travis Kelce came alive against the Buffalo Bills, catching five passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns. The emergence of Rashee Rice helped the Chiefs, as the superstar tight end seemed to be slowing down. Kelce was in great form and will be a key offensive piece against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens possess one of the elite defenses in the NFL and have been very effective against the tight end position. Kelce will need to build off his performance last week to turn in a good performance against Baltimore.

Baltimore will turn to the most dynamic player remaining in the playoffs — Lamar Jackson. Jackson started slowly against Houston before erupting in the second half with an incredible offensive performance. Finally off of the playoff schneid, Jackson will look to lock up the biggest win in his career against a playoff-tested Chiefs team. Kansas City allowed the tenth-most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks this season. We can assume Lamar will be very active on Sunday.

With such a star-studded matchup, pinning down some props and perhaps a side will be tough. Let’s see what we can do with a SGP ticket on FanDuel.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Chiefs at Ravens

Kansas City Chiefs +3.5

Bet with your head, not your heart. While I think the Ravens are the supreme team, something about the Chiefs getting points does not sit right.

While most of the larger bets sit with the Ravens, getting 3.5 points feels like a dream. Nothing would make me happier than to watch Lamar Jackson ascend to the next level and play in the Super Bowl, but the Chiefs are the current dynasty in the NFL.

ParlayIQ features the Chiefs covering this spread 56% of the time. Let’s start the ticket with our brain and try to build our odds with some negative correlation. The Chiefs cover.

Patrick Mahomes Over 26.5 Rushing Yards

Patrick Mahomes finds a way to break hearts with his legs on third down more than any other quarterback in the NFL. In such a high-pressure situation, we won’t be surprised when Mahomes is loose in the secondary when backs get turned.

The Chiefs’ identity shifted a bit this season — leaning on a stronger defense and the legs of Isiah Pacheco. However, as the leverage ramps up, expect to see the ball in the NFL’s premier quarterback’s hands. Patrick Mahomes will surely be throwing the football if the game is close, and this will create opportunities to extend plays with his legs when the secondary takes away receiving options.

Lamar Jackson Over 66.5 Rushing Yards

While we like the Chiefs’ spread, Lamar Jackson will prove to be a bear for the Chiefs’ defense. A defense that was barely better than average against running quarterbacks will be tested greatly on Sunday.

Lamar Jackson will be pleased to see Mark Andrews on the field for key situations. However, like Mahomes, when things break down, Lamar is going to go. Jackson possesses the game-breaking athleticism to crack this over in a couple of runs. Let’s hope he gets there.

Rashee Rice Over 60.5 Receiving Yards

Finally, Travis Kelce put together a big performance, but Rashee Rice is still the most athletic player in the fold for Patrick Mahomes. Given that our ticket projects Mahomes to do most of the work, we need to include his best-receiving option.

The Ravens’ defense is incredible and could get even healthier with Marlon Humphrey. Rice will see enough targets to make some big plays in the secondary. We close with his receiving over.
