Top DFS Picks and Fantasy Pick’em Plays for Week 2
Rasheen Ali: If you are playing on DraftKings this weekend, Ali should be one of the first players that you consider for your lineup builds. He is the clear-cut RB1 in the Marshall offense this year, and he started the season with an 18 carry, 137 yard, two touchdown performance. He’s still priced as a value option in a winnable matchup against East Carolina this week, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he sees 20+ touches in Week 2.
Donovan Edwards: Michigan didn’t really need their top running backs to carry much of the heavy lifting a week ago, as they cruised to victory over the aforementioned weak East Carolina squad. They have another cupcake matchup this week against UNLV, but I would look for them to get their top backs more involved. UNLV projects as one of the worst rush defenses in the country, and it’s a smash spot for both Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards. I prefer the discount with Edwards, especially if ownership is down given Edwards’ mediocre Week 1 output.
Jordan Watkins: The Ole Miss / Tulane game is likely going to be a 70 point shootout with plenty of offensive production on both sides. I am going to spread out my exposure in GPP builds and look for the pass catchers that might go under the radar a little bit. Most will look to the more value-priced options, so I like Watkins on the Ole Miss side and Jackson on the Tulane side for GPP stacks with the respective QBs.
