Top DFS Picks and Fantasy Pick’em Plays for Week 3

Jordan Travis: Don’t be fooled by the relatively pedestrian numbers last week, as Florida State was able to ease off the gas early in a 66-13 walloping of Southern Miss. Travis looked like the most electric quarterback in the country two weeks ago in a statement win over LSU, as he posted 342 passing yards, 38 rushing yards, and five total touchdowns in that game. Boston College is good enough to keep this game semi-competitive, but they are bad enough to where Travis should be able to put up gaudy numbers. If I have the salary to spend on one QB at the top this week, Travis is my choice.

Makhi Hughes: He is just a freshman, but Hughes has already become the RB1 in the Tulane backfield. He had 23 carries for 92 yards and a score against an SEC defense last week. More importantly, no other Tulsa running back logged more than seven carries. The matchup gets much better against Southern Miss this week, and Tulane could continue with a run-focused game plan with starting QB Michael Pratt banged up.

Malik Nabers: Nabers is one of the best receivers in college football. He posted a 6/67 line in Week 0 against Florida State, and then had logged a 5/87/1 line last week in a game where LSU didn’t have to break a sweat in the second half. LSU has issues on defense right now, and I expect a lot of their games to turn into shootouts. This road matchup against Mississippi State is definitely one that should stay competitive for the whole game, and Nabers is my favorite WR play on the board in Week 3.
